pvpers need to love and sign this post! I’m hearing and reading that fields of hatred as been to changed to “opt in” pvp. HC PVP and what it should be

So I’ve been talking to a few people, and seems there is one unknown factor about HC PvP and that’s if there will be perma death in PvP in HC. Seems a lot of people are also split on this. Some feel it should be, others feel it’s too harsh. I’m in the middle I think should be both. If it’s too harsh you will not have any inexperienced PvPers (noobs) join in because they will be too afraid. So I’m participating in the beta, or about to. I googled around for early PvP theory building - found none. Googled if it’s going to be in the Open Beta, virtually no results. Did we forget about PvP anyone? I see almost nobody talking about PVP. I for one am really curious how this is gonna affect PvP. Either blizz reworks many of these legendary powers with the ALREADY big damage percentage increases which people are talking about from a poor loot design mechanic perspective. I had a thought about this today with the open world stuff. I was thinking, people cant make private games, and there’s this open world thing going on now which made me think the amount of ganking that will be taking place is bound to be quite a bit unless it’s not going to work that way.

anyone know what the pvp is going to be like? or if there is a new element in the endgame? i would enjoy arena/battlegrounds PvP with a PvP dungeon or two. that would be neat. And as for endgame, any new element would be great. a diablo with daily quests/objectives maybe?

PvP only server option

Is this possible in the future? Would anyone like this? Everyone in my group would personally love this decision or some sort of it. We enjoy the added danger of players to encounter who can possibly be hostile, or the challenge of clearing out a camper, etc.

Please make pvp good! I’m a pvper at heart and was disappointed we didn’t get to pvp in the beta, but please please don’t let me down like you guys did in D3. PvP brought me back in

The PvP additions have peaked my interest again with the game. Looks good. Let’s just hope Blizzard doesn’t back pedal because of all the people who want PvE only.

They straight up lifted PvP from the Division!

So now that they stole PvP from the Division from 10 years ago to boot. How are they going to keep it from the same fate? Extraction and losing gear is great, especially when people will have a 4 day head start. Can’t wait for the hackers and groups of broken builds and level 100’s to PvP against.

D4 pvp like League and Dota. My vision

3 lanes demons and zombies attack turrets Each class has a role. For instance. Druid is jungle, rogue mm is adc, sorc and necro mid. Barb or melee rogue top etc… Depending on builds. You can only play this MOBA feature if level 100. Inside the MOBA all characters start level 1 with no gear. We make gold by killing demons and zombies and slowly buy back our gear we grinded in D4. Hardcore AND PvP solution!

I love hardcore play. I love the stakes involved, and how it creates incentives for groups to work together. Hardcore community is way more friendly and the bonds go deep. But, Hardcore players never get to indulge in PvP fully. Maybe i’m blind, but i don’t see theme, how PvP work in hardmode? PvP in open world - character instantly dead, PvP in special zones / areas - same instantly dead? and remember - kill players fun only in video game.

Thorns will be too OP in PvP - serious issue, need balacning

There has to be some high penalty for thorns damage in PvP if the scaling on higher levels stays even remotely close to what it is now, otherwise it will be the only playable PvP build. It’s ridiculous how much damage it does for a completely passive ability. With my barb, I have just two items giving me thorns and maxed the passives, and I am doing like 2 times more damage from one thorn hit than from my basic attack (lunging strike). With challenging shout, it goes up to 4-5 times more damage…

PvP / Fields of Hatered question

If im understanding it correctly. You will get kills and get a drop, that you then need to convert to a usable resource at a fixed location “altar”. Will there be any deterrent to stop clans from just camping the altars 24/7? Thinking about the good old wilderness in Runescape. The quickest way to farm the drops would be to clan up and just farm everyone trying to convert their stuff with overwhelming numbers.

PVP! Are there brushes to hide?

Are there some obstacles to hide from enemy players? Like brushes in LoL? Or is there a so called “fog of war”? Or do we have vision on everything that is in our screen? I think such things would make PvP way more interesting. Playing the map would be tactical and rewarding if done good. What do you think? cheers!

Hi guys, im going to build a Pvp Clan for hardcoure mode only in Diablo IV. As things stand there shouldn’t be a permadeath in those zones unless you die by a monster instead of a player. However it turns out in the end im going to pvp alot. I would happily welcome anybody interested in this.

Concept for a PvPvE dungeon?

I think it would be really cool idea to do a sort of FFA style dungeon and I think Diablo 4 would be a great opportunity to implement this idea. It would be much the same as any other dungeon except that it would also include other teams that are against you, and will in fact be able to kill you.
