One of the core elements of Diablo 2 was PVP whether you want to admit or not.
Blizzard, please grant us PVP servers with hostile options in Diablo 4. This will give PVE only players a place to play on PVE servers and PVP players a server in which we can have our fun.
Everyone should be for this kind of idea; Why do I say this?
-
If pvp is not strong in Diablo 4, PVP players will simply go to different games, netting Blizzard zero dollars from those players; that is simply a fallacy in design.
-
Every player who buys Diablo 4 will be supporting content created by Blizzard for Diablo 4. A player who buys the game to PVP will also be inherently supporting the PVE side of the game. The PVE players that have crept out of the woodworks should keep this in mind when considering the future of the game.
-
PVP provides a massive endgame for a lot of grinders and players; there are still huge PVP scenes in Diablo 2 to this very date.
-
PVP affects the market in several ways; items that were once considered junk would have value for reasons that are not present in a PVE only game.
-
People say that PVP does not work in ARPGs but in fact, it works best in ARPGS. Characters have a strong sense of meaning and development from the grinding experience, there is a lot of customization and counters available for differing builds, leading to a multitude of varying PVP encounters.
Thank you for your time.
As a side note, I believe Blizzard is going about the druid all wrong. The druid should be able to stay in whatever form the player wishes for however long the player wants; not the current iteration which seems to put the player in a form for only certain amounts of time. (An interesting idea is to work this into a skill and part of the skill tree (think points allowing the druid to stay in a certain form longer and longer until infinite, etc), possibly leaving all forms unattainable at the same time, offering important decision-making to the player).
