Where was pvp zone in pre-order beta? Want to check classes in this open beta.
Thats impossible to test sadly, it was far southwest on the map & we can’t go there until games live…

Regardless your opinion on the PvP opt-in, I don’t believe it’ll be a flop. A lot of people clearly want it and like it as they felt the need to add a specific area for it so absolutely a load of people are going to opt-in for it.
I don’t think it’ll be anywhere near considered as dead. If it’ll be balanced though, that’s a completely different story.
Then again, maybe they only added a PvP zone because of the massive net they are casting.
We’ve seen this play out in wow before.
Pretty much you have the group of people who opt in for the bonuses but avoid actual conflict.
Then you have the groups that run around and gank.
More often than not someone wanting to pvp will get into a lobby where most if not all players will be opted out.

From where it was in closed beta, its got a long (were talking a year +) way to to get anywhere near something that could be balanced or organized.
Imagine say a hyrda sorc vs ww barbarian right now in this beta set. Now, I wont talk about which classes are op as hell end game pvp wise cause I dont want a pp smack, but… its basically that, and theres NOTHING that a player could do to balance it through skills or gear.
Its so far off, seriously, the idea of it should be buried waaaaay deep down. Down far enough for it to be a plesant surprise if it ever happens.
That sounds terrible… probably gonna push a lot of people away.
If they’re pushing a warmode style of PVP, then there needs to be other forms of PVP… something queued or whatever, maybe some type of arena.

It was fun at first, especially when you ran into someone multi boxing 40 death knights.
Eventually the novelty wore off and people realized they could opt in for the bonuses but still avoid pvp 95% of the time.
I mean world pvp was already pretty dead… but at least WOW has forms of PVP outside of the world pvp. They do this to D4, they’re essentially saying… D4 has no PVP.
Currently, unless you’re 1 of 2 classes, with 1 build on each, youre going to get flat destroyed, and 1 of those is still so overwhelmingly powerful in pvp its dumb.
A full team of semi geared people that arent even skilled, just arent playing with their elbows, can control the entire zone.
World pvp was so bad, that it is honestly hard to believe it will ever be a prominent aspect of the game. Not saying never, but def not anytime in the near to mid future, for sure.

For starters, we are far too early in the game and don’t have the knowledge to see what end is going to be. There will be far more than 1 or 2 classes and 1 build each… we’ll see what happens.

I have seen. Its how it is. Theres been zero balancing done skill wise since. So, saying currently is still an accurate depiction, and I very highly doubt any major changes will be made over the next 2 months.
When did you see this end game? Because I doubt you completely. I also doubt PVP in a closed beta can be taken seriously.
November… in the end game closed beta that a TON of us on the forum got to play…
Do you live on the moon? Doubt all you want lol. The entire intent was for it, and end game to be tested, but, you are clearly all up to date on things. Lol.
I will doubt it… I wasn’t apart of it. I also don’t take closed beta PVP seriously… nor will I take comments seriously like, “only 1 or 2 classes with 1 spec each” seriously when it was in a closed beta from november… too much time passing.
Why do I get the feeling the 2 classes you’re alluding to are rogue and sorc 
Cool, ive got nothing to prove to you. Nothing class wise has changed, at all since… so if we were allowed to hit 100 again, it would pan out the exact same and those 1 builds on the 2 classes would still absolutely wreck everyone.
You stay blind and optomistic though when someone with experience is literally telling you exactly how it was/is. Then you can kick yourself on release.

Ah so barb is more like world breaker hulk than professor hulk at level cap

But for pvp on release. Fort is your friend, and many classes cant really use it.
