I’m not sure if this the right or best place to put this but its all i can find. So let me start by saying im not familiar with the process of making a game, and i’m also not the biggest ARPG player. If i come across as ignorant with these ideas its because i am.
Alright hows it going long time listener, first time caller here. I really want D4 pvp to great, ive been thinking about how there going to balance gear.
I Obviously have no idea what the D4 end game looks like, but i imagine we’ll probably be hitting pretty hard. I dont know coding so i dont understand why you cant code the same resistances on to players as eliete monsters, but theres obviously a reason that doesnt work. That seemed like the simplest way to go about it. I think there could be some sort of shade type demon that shrouds its self around us to minimize damage from other nehalem. You should be able to set gear on it that would replace what you had, basically hed be a gear change macro but you could tune PvP threw the defences the shade gives. I think this is also a step into unblending PvE/PvP gear, A PvP bounty system could also come from this.
Say youre in an open world PvP area running around farming, but theres someone else there layin people out mercilessly, once he killed 5-10 people (really dependeds on the TTK) other players shades would wisper them the players name current kill count and reward.
Im sure most of you can see now, like I said at the beginning I have no idea what goes into actually making those ideas reality but just wanted to throw it out there
