        • Ancestral Bond is now applied when Teera and Maruuk are 15 yards apart. (was 10 yards).

      • Broodkeeper Diurna
        • Reduced the base damage on Stoneslam Detonation by 63%. This will reduce the need to bring only tank-specialization classes that can avoid the effect by being immune to it.

Items and Rewards

  • Fixed an issue with Darkmoon Deck: Dance where the cast was bouncing more or less than intended for certain cards.
  • Fixed an issue with Darkmoon Decks where players would sometimes not be granted a Card after the cooldown had completed.
  • Fixed an issue where, if a player lost their Spiteful Storm Aura, all players also using the trinket on the same target would lose their auras as well.

  • Auction House
    • Added options to sort by Buyout Price and by Unit Price. These can be selected via a gear icon button to the right of the search sorting headers.
    • Now, when you select an item to purchase, the total buyout price is displayed next to the Buyout button.
    • Searching an item name in quotes will now perform an exact match search for that item name.
    • Shift-clicking an item with the Auction House open will now paste the name of that item in quotes to the Auction House.
  • Creatures and NPCs
    • Class trainers were inadvertently forgetting to charge money for the dual talent specialization, profession respecialization, and other paid options. While we investigate the cause of their inadequate accounting practices, we’ve asked them to stop selling the dual talent specialization ability. Anyone who has already purchased dual talent specialization will be allowed to keep it, and we’ll re-enable it once we’ve fixed the issue. The profession specialization services will continue to be offered, but may spontaneously start charging their intended fee.

    • Defense Protocol Alpha
      • Bounty Satchels from Heroic Daily Dungeons, with Defense Protocol Alpha active, are no longer tradeable to party members.
      • The Frostbite effect from Heroic Utgarde Keep and Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle, while Defense Protocol Alpha is active, now appears as a debuff and cannot be cancelled via the UI.
      • The Bounty Satchel from the Heroic Daily Dungeon, when Defense Protocol Alpha is active, is now multidrop. This was an accidental oversight and was always intended to be multidrop. This means all members of the party can loot the item and receive 3 bonus Emblems of Conquest.

        • Now drops an additional item when 2 or 3 drakes are alive, similar to 3.4.0.

We are looking at Retribution as a whole and will have more to share in the future.

        • Developers’ notes: Holy received PvP reductions in casted healing effectiveness in previous patches that we now feel are unnecessary and are reverting. We also feel Holy Word: Serenity has not been as effective as we would like at handling burst damage, so we are increasing that as well.

        • Developers’ notes: Shadow Priest has been widely overperforming, so we are looking to offset recent PvE buffs to them and reduce their power defensively through changes to Focused Will. We’re also reducing their instant proc damage availability as we feel Shadow Priests do not have to hard cast spells as often as we would like them to.

        • Developers’ notes: Assassination’s spread and single target Garrote pressure has been very high. We’re targeting this by decreasing the effectiveness of Improved Garrote. Iron Wire’s damage reduction effect has also felt too potent to us at preventing enemy pressure.

        • [With weekly restarts] Demonic Strength unleashes a Felstorm that deals 150% increased damage in PvP Combat (down from 400%).

        • Developers’ notes: We feel Demonic Strength can be a difficult spell to notice and has little counter play compared to Demonic Tyrant and its associated Demonfire casts. We’re looking to adjust Demonology’s burst sources while aiming to keep them at the same relative power. We also want to slightly reduce Demonology’s overall pressure by targeting Dreadbite.

        • Developers’ notes: Defensive Stance was adjusted in previous patches to address damage issues we no longer feel are present for Warriors. We’re increasing damage done in Defensive Stance to help increase their offensive pressure without affecting them defensively.

  • Fixing an issue where Wintergrasp faction win conditions could be unintentionally reset, resulting in players not receiving the Essence of Wintergrasp buff.

  • Fixed an issue where Broodkeeper’s Promise would snapshot the caster’s Versatility for the buff’s full duration when calculating the heal.

For Restoration, we’re targeting buffs to instant cast spells for improved survivability.

Professions

  • [With weekly restarts] You can now only earn Artisan’s Consortium reputation via weekly quests from two professions a week. All professions provide the same amount total (500).
  • [with weekly restarts] Azure Loom and Chrono Loom can now be used to fulfill Crafting Orders.
  • Added S.A.V.I.O.R. to the Crafting Order system. It remains Bind on Pickup and Requires Dragon Isles Engineering to use.
  • Added all intermediate reagents, finishing reagents, and optional reagents to the Crafting Order system (except for Illustrious Insight).
    • Developers’ note: The desire to fulfill orders is sometimes much greater than the supply of orders that actively need filled despite the high volume of orders going through the system. Additionally, there is a disconnect between being able to use one’s own raw gathered reagents to create a final desired product. By adding these crafted reagents to the Crafting Order system, we hope to offer more opportunities for crafters to locate and fill orders and customers to directly utilize their own materials to feel a stronger sense of ownership in the final product. Currently, multiple orders will need to be placed if you need a higher quantity than the recipe provides. We recognize that this flow isn’t ideal and will be looking into how to improve it. Thank you for your patience and continued feedback as we iterate on all things professions!
  • Alchemy
    • Transmutation crafts have been temporarily disabled in order to address an exploit. It is our top priority to resolve the underlying issue and re-enable Transmutations as soon as possible.
  • Enchanting
    • The Enchanting formulas Illusion: Primal Frost, Air, Fire, and Earth were inadvertently bind on pickup. They have been changed to unbound so they may freely be traded and sold on the auction house.
  • Engineering
    • Arclight Energy Surge caused by catastrophic tinker malfunctions will now continue to tick down while offline.
    • Pieces of Scrap sometimes found by specialized Engineers now have a significantly higher chance of dropping when you use your bombs or tinkers.
    • The chance to receive Junk items from Rummage Through Scrap has been reduced for specialized Engineers.
    • Rummage Through Scrap’s chance to yield a special treasure has been slightly increased for specialized Engineers.
      • Developers’ note: While the main benefit of investing points into the Scrapper specialization is the significant increase to your resourcefulness, Rummage Through Scrap is proving to be far less rewarding than intended. The goal for this effect is not to incentivize using your devices at every opportunity, but instead to reward your dedication to your craft by sometimes uncovering something useful… or unique!
  • Herbalism
    • Windswept perk 0 now correctly reduces the distance you are knocked back by Building Breeze.
  • Inscription
    • The Curious Djaradin Rune, an item that gives specialization in Inscription, should now drop from creatures for Scribes capable of specializing.
    • Fixed an issue where some embellishments where not showing on Held in Off-hand weapons.
  • Jewelcrafting
    • Fixed an issue where the Design: Elemental Lariat was not properly dropping off all boss storm creatures. It should now properly drop off them.
      • Developers’ note: Players only have a chance to get this recipe on your first kill of each per day, matching with the behavior of other loot that drops from these creatures.
  • Mining
    • Fixed an issue with Titan-Touched specialization that had the effect descriptions of the 0 point and 40 point perks swapped. Functionality is unchanged.
    • Fixed an issue that made the Surveying 30 knowledge perk drop Illimited Diamonds significantly less often than intended.
    • Molten perk 0 now correctly reduces the damage dealt by Smoldering Ore.
  • Skinning
    • Reduced the cooldown of Bottled Pheromones to 5 minutes (was 30 minutes).
    • Significantly increased the bonus cooldown reduction specializations provide toward Elusive Creature Bait. When players are maxed out in all perks related to Elusive Creature Bait, the cooldown is now reduced by 20 minutes (was 13 minutes).
    • Increased the reward for skinning normal, rare, and elite ‘elusive’ enemies. The normal enemies are now only skinnable by a single skinner.
      • Developers’ note: The rewards for skinning elusive creatures have been equally elusive, so we are improving what they drop. Along with this change, normal elusive creatures are only skinnable by a single skinner. Elite and Rare elusive creatures will remain skinnable by everyone who participates in defeating them.

Quests

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the rare Stolen Present box to show up on the quest “You’re a Mean One…”.
  • PX-238 Winter Wondervolt now persists through death.
  • [With weekly restarts] Requirement to complete Sparks of Life weekly quests reduced to 100 Sparks of Life (was 200).
  • Azure Span
    • Fixed an issue where unique creatures in “Delights to Delve for” were clipping into the geography, blocking players from completing the objective.
  • The Forbidden Reach
    • During “Final Orders” the Wrath of the Storm-Eater aura will now properly disable mounting, dragonriding, and Soar spells.
  • Ohn’ahran Plains
    • Gurgthock the Fight Promoter should no longer become permanently uninteractible if players restart “The Field of Ferocity Redux: Master of the Hunt” immediately after it resets.
  • Thaldraszus
    • Fixed an issue where credit was incorrectly sharing between party members during “Time-Locked Timewalkers.”
  • The Waking Shores
    • Fixed an issue where Wrathion could drop players while flying during “The Obsidian Citadel.”

Are you guys going to be taking away the ill-gotten gains from the people who exploited to hit Exalted already? Cause they have a monopoly on those patterns for the next month or two if not.

That doesn’t even touch on the fact they have 30 free Knowledge per profession compared to us.

You guys need to start punishing people who exploit like this, or the mantra/mindset “Exploit Early, Exploit Often” will continue to grow.

How was it an exploit? If they expected people to be doing it and cut the mettle and other things gained right away in response, seems like it couldnt be considered one.

My friend was also upset about this but it’s not like the profession shuffle was free. This strategy was known and available to everyone but many of us, myself included, chose not to do it because of the gold cost. I don’t care either way that it’s unavailable.

Could we get some clarification about on what is considered a boss creature? There is no in game indication of when these spawn.

There have been occasional elites but it is hard to tell whether these are considered a “boss storm creature.”

First kill of the day is also ambiguous wording, can players expect to get one attempt at a kill for each location the storm is in? Is there a chance for more than one “boss storm creature” to spawn per event? Are the “boss storm creatures” spawn timing completely random or on a timer or after a certain number of add kills?

Still nothing about why Preservation Evokers are tanky compared to Devastation evokers who are squishy AF. Why would you make a midrange mail based class/spec and have them be essentailly a glass cannon with no added value to group make up other than it’s a RP dream for folx to roll lizard.
