The Depp situation is why people get so irate about these things. Amber Heard pretty much got to keep her life even after it was shown she was a liar and abuser.
Depp is still in the dog house not because he’s guilty but because he proved his detractors wrong and the system flawed.
It’s crazy to me how “private companies” is used to justify stupid behavior. Hollywood/Blizzard etc have been outed as being a den of immoral people while freezing out people and pretending to be moral arbiters.

I’m not sure if you’re serious or not but Hollywood/Blizzard have been shown to have hostile work environments and casting couch problems for years. Weinstein and others like him were people who propagated Hollywood level preaching while indulging in bad behavior.
The money making choice would have been to ignore the Depp situation and not take sides and then let it go like Woody Allen’s adventures. They took sides, got burned and then froze out Depp even though it was Heard that was the issue. Depp was headlining mega franchises still, he wasn’t some Baldwin level celeb that made backing Heard a thing. It wasn’t about money it was political.

With few exceptions, corporations don’t care about politics except where it impacts their bottom line. Depp perhaps didn’t do everything he was alleged to have done initially… but he also wasn’t blameless. And this is Disney, not HBO. They’re a little more invested in their image. Their brand is as a family friendly company, and having the star of one of your biggest franchises in a high profile assault case is not a good look for a company hoping to attract families
James Gunn would have been a better example of a knee-jerk reaction but THAT was in reaction to people on the right going full snow-flake because he made some mean tweets at some point in the past… Conservatives are always against cancel-culture until someone says something they don’t agree with, then they’re going full-karen with the best of them. Do you intentionally derail threads throwing around childish snarky remarks when you don’t have an answer and pushing your politics or is it just a character flaw of yours? Suppose all I can say is that I’m incredibly disappointed, but not surprised.
I was hoping for at least some discussion out of this (as the chance of an actual fix is insanely unlikely). I appreciate everyone that joined in before the thread was derailed and those that tried to stay on topic.

This should have been everyone’s first indicator of a troll thread. This OP is trying to act like they were unaware that the voice was changed and acting like they just discovered this as some mistake.
Also, this whole topic is another complaint for the sake of complaining threads. How many times is this dead horse going to be dug up and paraded through the forums for one last beating? It is starting to smell really bad.

If the voice actor wants his voice back in, he is a big boy and can speak for himself. He does not need you to talk for him. How about you worry about what you are doing and stop trying to invent new things for you to lead a Faux Outrage crusade about.

I don’t think anyone is working at Blizzard anymore anyway. Pretty sure the patch releases were just put on a timer before they abandoned the building. Otherwise we might see bug fixes once in a while.
What is your problem? I didn’t pull him on the PTR and wasn’t aware that the TBCC client would get the wrong voice actor until we pulled it ourselves on live. Just because someone has an opinion that doesn’t align with what you want doesn’t mean they’re trolling. Grow up. Some of us would just like to see an injustice fixed.
(and I find it funny with you here complaining aggressively about something you don’t like and then claiming that the OP on their main is a troll while you’re posting from an alt - I can’t really tell if you’re trolling or just trying to be unpleasant for no reason)

And you are sitting here calling out people as using hate mobs while trying to create your own hate mob against Blizzard.
Again, the VA is a big boy, if he has a problem, he can speak for himself. Try worrying about your own life and stop trying to create drama and lynch mobs so you can appease some need to look woke for others.
This whole wounded approach is also disingenuous. You know darn well what you are trying to do. You are trying to pick at a wound in order to keep it open and trying to hide it behind some, “Oh I just noticed this” charade.

Edit: I’ll be flagging this thread for closure/deletion as, for some reason, the topic attracted the attention of a couple pretty nasty individuals and I can’t see anything productive coming of it anymore because of them. Again, thank you to anyone that came here to discuss the actual topic. I do hope we get the right Kael’thas voice back, but I won’t hold my breath. I’ll be muting this thread and I won’t be back to give the current problem the attention they’re seeking.
