Part 19 of my posts to try and get D4 improved. I am going to post one-three ideas per day for a month then post a table of contents at the end. Hopefully these can gain some upvotes and dev attention or comment! I was going to just do one post but it would have been way too big. Please upvote and keep it positive guys!!
Primals added back into the game but are different than diablo 3.
1 in 100 items are primal. Primal items are bright red and primal affixes are red text.
A primal item changes 1-4 random affixes to a primal affix. 79% of primal items have 1 affix changed, 15% have 2, 5% have 3 and 1% have all 4. So a primal item with all 4 changed to primal would be super rare chase item. Primal affixes are powerful versions of other affixes or completely new affixes. A primal cannot have duplicate primal affixes.
20 examples of primal affixes.
- Primal Rage: 5-10%. This counts as crit chance and doubled as crit damage.
- Diamond Skin: 5-10%. This counts as damage reduction and crowd control reduction.
- Suppression: Reduce incoming distance damage to you by 20-30%.
- Regenerative Barrier: Give yourself a barrier every 15s of 15-25% of your life.
- Meditation: +2-4 all defensive skills.
- Inner Beast: 20-40% of skills cost is health instead of resource.
- Endless Power: +1-2 all skills.
- Alchemist: Gain 25% healing and +50% potion duration.
- Iron Will: +1 all passive skills.
- Journey to Tomorrow: 20-30% movement speed. Double this in friendly areas.
- Goblin Hex: More goblins spawn near you and in dungeons you enter.
- King’s Legacy: Item has an extra 1-2 gem slots. Increase effect of gems in this item by 10-25%.
- Queen’s Legacy: Item can have 2 aspects. Reduce each aspect by 30-40%.
- Cain’s Legacy: +2-4 paragon points.
- Prime Legacy: All rolls on this item are max. All aspects put in this item are max. Add 75% to the effect of the affix you reroll on this item. (To make up for losing one as this primal affix)
- Heirloom of the Vaults: Gain 10-20% magic find and 15-30% gold find.
- Phoenix: If you would die rebirth to full health instead in a HUGE fire AOE. 5 min cooldown.
- Sun and Moon: Gain 10-25% max health and 10-25% max resource.
- Arcane Knowledge: Gain an enchantment slot. Sorc only affix. (Version of this would exist for each hero for some sort of bonus)
- Impenetrable: Gain 50% all resists
Primal items salvage into 10x the normal amount of materials.
Primal items sell for 10x the normal amount of gold.
Primal affixes cannot be rerolled.
Being a primal item does not affect aspects in it or put in it unless stated.
Vendors do not sell primal items.
