Build your own Safezone and gain bonuses with components!

Part 6 of my posts to try and get D4 improved. I am going to post one-three ideas per day for a month then post a table of contents at the end. Hopefully these can gain some upvotes and dev attention or comment! I was going to just do one post but it would have been way too big. Please upvote and keep it positive guys!!

Players can now build their own personal safezone. Think of this like a PoE hideout. This is introduced overtime as series of 10 quests showing how to do it and upon completion of all 10 quests will give the player a random basic version of each component. Players can choose to town portal always to their safezone.

New drops are added to the game that support this known as components. These have different rarity and some Higher rarity components are better and more powerful. There are 10 cosmetic / base versions of each component. This base version is what the component looks like or its theme but has no effect on its function like rarity.

Players can visit other players safezones and shop their vendors (blacksmith jeweler pawn shop bazaar ect) They can buy directly from Bazaar or use a black market vendor. Using the black market vendor costs 5% fee. A black market vendor is located in each main city.

The Safezone itself is a component and is chosen on quest 1 of the quest series and other Safezone base components drop as well but they have no rarity. There are just 30 different ones. Think of the safezone component as what your hideout will look like, size, and where you can place other components. All safezones contain a placeable component blacksmith, occulist, jeweler, ect that you do not need to find as a drop. Other versions of these basic vendors like blacksmith exist as cosmetic changes and are not listed in my list of components. Your safezone is account wide. You can only make 1. Dropped components are tradeable!

You want to make your safezone well known as the top 20 visited safezones from different accounts each day gain extra gold, a random legendary item (chance for unique), gems, components, and other prizes!

I am posting idea for Diablo 4. This one is about building your own safezone with components.

Ah got it! I do that with beer.

What the huh?!!! 20 characters!

Can’t do it.

Every time you go to a world boss, legion, or city the way the code is designed a player would have to load the assets in every other players “safe zone” (or did you mean hideout like in PoE?)

Yes youcan think of PoE hideout as players component built safezone.

This is Diablo. There are no safezones.

I saw a character die in town once. I think a Helltide meteor bugged out and got him.

Appreciate the energy but I would not invest that amount of time into this agenda.

They cant do stash tabs, how in the f are they going to altar anything of substance? Im pretty sure barber was a bug and they spun it into a seasonal power.

Strongholds in Lost Ark and giving rewards for players visiting other Strongholds is a horrible system ripe for exploiting. The only advantage of a “hideout” is you can group up all the vendors together rather than spread out all over the map. If your TP always went to your Stronghold, this would be a great QoL feature. Could care less about the cosmetic aspect.

Strongholds in LA did have at least some interesting benefits as you could Craft things and your Crew could be sent on missions to gather materials. You had traveling vendors that would visit your Stronghold with unique loot for sale using Tokens farmed by your Crew. They also had a Farm where you could Harvest materials with a chance of Rare materials.

If Diablo did something similar, I would like to see more automation so you do not have to login every day to collect Harvested materials and send Crew on missions. It needs to be 100% passive so if you login once a week or every day, the rewards are the same and go to your bank. Unless you change the type of mission or targeted farming materials, it would continue collecting those things.

This would yield Elixir Materials, Occultist materials for Aspects, Occultist materials for Enchanting, Obols, and Mystery Caches that can vary between Regular Gear Caches to Grand Caches that yield guaranteed Legendaries and chance of Unique/Uber Unique items.

Gives players a reason to login and check what popped up in their Stronghold bank, gives you more Inventory Space since unless you invite players to your Stronghold, you do not need to worry about Stash loading. This would be to subsidize gameplay and provide the same continuous bonuses to players regardless of your time played.

The game code obviously needs to be fixed before you can do my ideas.

They having trouble adding an extra stash tab, and you want all that?

They spaghetti code stash tabs. You honestly think they will or are even capable of implementing any parts of this novel you are writing?

Are other people allowed to use words I don’t like in my Safezone?

I like the idea of making your own personal Town Portal target zone, where you can find/buy/earn the various vendors and place them where you want in the area, but the other stuff, (especially the daily bonuses/popularity contest can go away) is meh. It could add some interesting depth to the game, if done right.

It sounds a bit more complicated and such than it is in practice I think.

Your safezone has the same rules as everywhere else in the game.
