Part 11 of my posts to try and get D4 improved. I am going to post one-three ideas per day for a month then post a table of contents at the end. Hopefully these can gain some upvotes and dev attention or comment! I was going to just do one post but it would have been way too big. Please upvote and keep it positive guys!!
Empowerment levels added to the game. This is to give players a continued leveling experience after reaching level 100. Experience after level 100 is contributed to rotating empowerment levels in offense, defense, utility, harvesting, and economy. (Example: You have gained 100 empowerment levels. You will be empowerment level 100 and have 20 points to spend in offense, defense, utility, harvesting, and economy.) Each category allow 20 max points in 5 choices and players can choose how to invest but 20 points in each category is max.
After this you earn 600 points in core stat bonus.
After this you earn 300 points in each other non core stat and these rotate each level. This gives 2000 total empowerment levels to earn.
I did not attempt to balance these with actual numbers.
A) Offense (100 Points total with 20 max in each): Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Attack Speed, Damage to Elites, All stats
B) Defense (100 Points total with 20 max in each): Max Life, Armor, Damage Reduction, Crowd Controlled Reduction, All Resist
C) Utility (100 Points total with 20 max in each): Movement Speed, Lucky Hit Chance, Resource Cost Reduction, Cooldown Reduction, Max resource
D) Harvesting (100 Points total with 20 max in each):
- Miner - Chance for +1 ore harvest (instead of 4 iron get 5 iron as example),
- Forager - Chance for +1 plant harvest
- Hoarder - Larger collect radius
- Transmuter - Chance common and magic items in chest are at least rare
- Bard - Events give more obols
E) Economy (100 Points total with 20 max in each): Potion Find, Gold Find, Goblin Find, Magic Find, Unique Find
F) Core Stat Bonus (600 points max), +1 Core stat. If this is too good then +1 every 2 or 3 levels.
G) Non Core Stat Bonus (300 each non core stat) +1 non-core stat. Rotates each level between them.
