Part 21 of my posts to try and get D4 improved. I am going to post one-three ideas per day for a month then post a table of contents at the end. Hopefully these can gain some upvotes and dev attention or comment! I was going to just do one post but it would have been way too big. Please upvote and keep it positive guys!!
Each zone now has reputation crafters/vendor associated with it. The crafters are armor,
weapons, and jewelry. There would be a handful of special rare crafters / vendors as well like the helltide crest vendor.
Each crafter has some sort of theme to help builds on his crafts and items sold and has a very powerful 4000 and 5000 cost power.
Each craft has a small chance to create a legendary item with an aspect on it instead of a rare. All crafted items are at least rare.
These sellers do not require gold. The cost of items for sale on the vendors vary but it is cheapest for normal items then more for sacred and then the most for ancestral. Items for sale are always ancestral at char level 60+, mostly sacred at 40-59, and mostly normal for less than 40.
They instead require a new currency for each zone that only drops in that zone from quests, defeated monsters, completed dungeons, and Crest Chests in helltides. These are all known as Crests so first zone currency would be Fractured Peaks Crest.
Each character can have 5000 of each crest.
Here are some examples on what you can get:
Fractured Peaks Jewelry Crest Crafter

100 - Random amulet or ring
300 - Random sacred amulet or ring
600 - Random ancestral amulet or ring
1100 - 2 Random ancestral amulets or rings
2000 - 4 Random ancestral amulets or rings
3000 - Random 800+ item power ancestral amulet or ring with max roll of mana cost reduction or resource generation.
4000 - Changes a ring or amulets current socket into a prismatic socket. Prismatic sockets have 50% bonus effect.
5000 - Upgrades a ring or amulet to LEVEL 6.
Fractured Peaks Jewelry Crest Vendor
(Amulets for sale always have resource cost reduction.)
(Rings for sale always have resource generation.)
(Starts at selling 4 random items which refreshes just like other vendors.)
250 - Refreshes vendors stock.
500 - Fractured Peaks Resource Potion. 5% bonus experience. +25 max resource.
1000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +1 random item.
1500 - Vendor permanently now buys rings with resource generation / amulets with resource cost reduction for 100% more gold.
2000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +1 random item.
3000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +1 random item.
4000 - Permanent 20% discount on this seller. Vendor buys all rings/amulets for 20% more.
5000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +2 random items. Vendor sells at least 1 legendary item.
Scosglen Helm Crest Crafter
(Crafts random helms that always have max life.)
100 - Random helm
300 - Random sacred helm
600 - Random ancestral helm
1100 - 2 Random ancestral helms
2000 - 4 Random ancestral helms
3000 - Random 800+ item power ancestral helm with max roll of max life.
4000 - Upgrades a helm with a 5th affix. Helm gains 5-10% potion drop rate. This can only be rerolled by using this ability on the helm again for 4000 crest cost. Reduced cost and benefit for sacred and normal items.
5000 - Upgrades a helm to level 6.
Scosglen Helm Crest Vendor
(Helms for sale always have max life.)
(Starts at selling 4 random items which refreshes just like other vendors.)
250 - Refreshes vendors stock.
500 - Scosglen Life Potion - 5% bonus experience. 25% max life.
1000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +1 random item.
1500 - Vendor permanently now buys helms with max life for 100% more gold.
2000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +1 random item.
3000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +1 random item.
4000 - Permanent 20% discount on this seller. Vendor buys all helms for 20% more.
5000 - Upgrades vendor to selling +2 random items. Vendor sells at least 1 legendary item.
Helltide Crest Vendor (This crafter has a 20% chance to appear in each helltide. You get helltide crests from opening helltide crest chests, defeating helltide elites and bosses, and completing quests while in a helltide (This could give you double crests. The crests for helltide and the crests for the zone you are in.)
250 - Bag of Holding - Your next death in within a helltide does not have you drop cinders and then deletes this. Make of 3 stored of this. This actually takes up 1 of your consumable inventory spots. Does not expire. Can be destroyed manauly.
250 - Spawn a random Normal Boots with Hellspeed affix. This gives 12% bonus movement speed after defeating a demon.
500 - Helltide Potion. 5% experience, damage, movement speed, attack speed, and damage reduction while in a helltide for 30 min.
500 - Spawn a random sacred Boots with Hellspeed affix. This gives 18% bonus movement speed after defeating a demon.
1000 - Spawn a random ancestral Boots with Hellspeed affix. This gives 25% bonus movement speed after defeating a demon for 4-8s.
2000 - Your helltide potions last twice as long.
3000 - Helltide chests drop 25% more loot.
4000 - Enemies in dungeons in helltides now drop cinders. Enemies in cellars in helltides now drop cinders.
5000 - Gives a Diablo Hellfire Stone. This stone summons the World Event Boss Diablo to the helltide after a 5 minute warning to zone. Diablo is very hard but gives 5-10 free mystery chests on defeat, 1 diabo chest (separate hellfire loot table items), and 2 uniques. Only 1 Diablo can be summoned per helltide.
Hellfire Unique Ring (example of hellfire item) - Always ancestral but only requires level 1 making them great leveling items.
4 random affixes with the following bonus affixes.
+25-50 to a random stat. 5% for +25-50 to all stats.
+5% Bonus experience.
+1 Fire Skills
Lucky Hit 5% - Call down a meteor that does fire damage in a large AOE and burns overtime.
Frostfire Unique Ring (example of hellfire item) - Always ancestral but only requires level 1 making them great leveling items.
4 random affixes with the following bonus affixes.
+25-50 to a random stat. 5% for +25-50 to all stats.
+5% Bonus experience.
+1 Cold skills
Lucky Hit 5% - Call down a meteor that does cold damage in a large AOE and chills.
Black Market Crest Vendor (Appears after his rare event is completed. He Lasts for 15 min).
This vendor random exchanges crests between different factions at different rates on each spawn. Rates are always in favor of the black market vendor.
