Dear devs, dear blizzard, dear whoever read this,
Losing hope as much as losing words. Reading that patch note is once again frustrating (understatement).
– There is absolutely no answer about the problem introduced for PvP only in Patch 2.4. The removal of stun/fhr for PvP completely ruined OUR user experience. –
At this point i guess PvP community is being ignored on purpose and you just want the game to be as it is - pretty bad to be honest (understatement again).
Meanwhile, 70% of the PvP players already quitted the game, the rest will follow most likely.
Even if PvP is a small part of your users, for some it’s the reason to play (including myself). The community is friendly, strong and has the most veteran players.
I don’t understand your decision to ignore us.
Especialy when fixing the problem can be done so easily - Just remove that “diminishing return” introduced in Patch 2.4.
By not supporting PvP, you basicly remove one of the most emblematic and important feature (if not the most important for me ).
Developer Comments: *We want to fix some of the awkward lockouts that reject player input from casting skills. For PVP, we added a way to reduce hit recovery spam to prevent edge cases of characters being locked out for too long.
I have said it all i guess.
Almost a year of reporting the problem:
Dear Blizzard,
Please listen to the PvP Community - keep the game as good as it was for 20 years.
Listen to players that played D2 Lod that far and just ask to do the same with D2R.
PvP in Diablo II is a masterpiece, fast paced and extremely fun. Even after 15 years i still enjoy pvp with this remaster.
But with this new patch, the future of PvP is compromised because of this change :

And also:
I mean there is like 30+ topics about PvP problems and that for almost 6+ months.
PvP is a main feature of the game that lot of people enjoy but sadly not at the current state since patch 2.4.
It’s not hard at all to fix the problem and revert back the mecanics to what it was in 2.3. So why are PvP players being ignored?
Posting again the problem - which is pretty simple - basicly Fast Hit Recovery & Stun doesn’t work properly in PvP since 2.4 (for PvP only ! It works fine in PvM)

they might be too busy breaking how the game works by allowing griffon and rbf to work with trap ^__^’
To the developers for Diablo 2 Resurrected,
Concerning recent changes to D2 Mechanics in Patch 2.4, there are many great improvements, but a few significant concerns that I am sure you are seeing on the official forums. Many of these were anticipated based on testing on the PTR, and we tried to help raise the flag before the new patch went live. While these are all intended improvements to the game, some changes went too far (in particular the modification to FHR mechanics). The FHR mechanic w…
There are many rules in diablo2
Fast casting, Fast run, Fast hit recovery, Fast block, Attack rating, Blocking, Defence etc…
We always consider these factors in this game, in our two decade. Sometimes we try to find very rare/expensive items to compensate fast hit recovery frame.
But after update 2.4, currently, pvp balance has been horribly broken

Please revert FHR to patch 2.3. We appreciate you trying to adjust the mechanics that only affect pvp, but the implementation is far worse than 2.3 FHR mechanics.
Instead of far too much stun in certain situations, there’s literally zero stun in all situations. No kill I had yesterday was rewarding, the ability to use combo’s to lock down your opponent no longer work which in many cases was the only way to kill the opponent (their char is heavily favoured).
It wasn’t really rewarding to kill…
In D2R, I thought the assassin would have a great shot skill like a backbone piercing, but now he’s just a fool.Wheelwind dancing with nails.
Why make FHR and make it useless? I think Blizzard employees don’t understand the system they created 20 years ago at all. Please understand the game and make it better designthis is the end of d2r
we play d2 for 22 years because of the pvp, which was perfect.
now they killed it with this ridiculous nonsense.
barb’s leap is useless now, …
If you are interested to understand it a bit, here my old article on the Anti-stun mechanic :
Its a bit outdated (i did it in the first days of PTR) but pretty much on point.
Most of the things described in the article are currently happening on live server :
-Assa lost her identity
-Defensive play harder to counter as offensive play are less rewarded (to be fair, it also allow some aggressive play that werent possible before)
-Sorc becoming borderline OP. Some stompers (smite paladin), b…
Dear Blizzard,
I’m a big fan of the game and a pvp player, my character’s names are BoneDaddy and Hubris. I’m a part of D2A (D2 Arena), which is a large and growing pvp community with over 800 members. We host cross-region pvp tournaments and events every week and have a presence both on twitch and youtube. The interest in this game has grown considerably over the past few months, and we would like to provide constructive feedback on how to improve the game from a dueling point of view.

I think Blizzard is trying to cut server costs.
They are patching the game to target the veteran player bases. First is pvp, now its pvm.
After the veterans go, they have our money, and they no longer have costs.

I wish I had enough character slots to make some dedicated PvP characters in different level brackets and stuff. Sadly, I can only play LoD PvM because of the character slot limits

wait so the new charm works on summons ? Thats pretty good honestly. Especially for sorc against assassin. They will now be able to kill shadowmaster
Other than that freaking fix fhr…

The charms don’t work against other players. If they do, in some way, that’s a bug.
Okay still if minions can have an advantege in PVP with the new charms that’s a bug.
they are adding fire to the already large dumpster fire. i’m jumping ship.

its not your minion that have an advantage, its you being able to kill enemy minion. For example, shadow master got often immun fire so its an huge pain in the butt for the sorc because the shadow master is tanking fireball instead of the assassin.
Same thing can be said for clay golem being cold immun, so he can block your iceblast if the nec telestomp you
Ahaaa. I get it now. Still sunder charms shouldn’t be working in pvp, in any way.
i mean, the pets arent players, so its consistant with the patch note. All in all i dont think thats a bad choice

Hmmm. Yeah i guess that makes sense.
This patch is so great, I love everything about it. PvP is better than ever too.
Totally agreed. I miss this game’s pvp being fun, Blizz please listen and help us enjoy it once again!

P v P in Diablo 2 is boring as hell, there are not even obs camera, scores, etc, this is a P v M game, if you want P v P go play Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, League of Legends, Age of Empire, etc.
