It's time to put your Vanilla theorycrafting hats on and delve down into into the following Vanilla mechanics debates below since I was never able to get a confirmed answer on whether the following items and their procs scaled with spell damage or not:

I even went so far as to file GM tickets on battle.net but wasn't able to get an answer:

Likewise, I also asked about Judgement of the Crusader stacking as well to no avail:

For reference:
JUDGEMENT OF THE CRUSADER STACKING
Since I was able to prove that multiple ranks of the same Judgement are in fact blizzlike in Vanilla and not bug abuse, we are permitted to put up all 6 ranks of Judgement of the Crusader for a grand total of +631 holy damage (provided that the Rets have PvP gloves which add +20 to JotC).
JotC R1 +46 Holy Damage
JotC R2 +57 Holy Damage
JotC R3 +80 Holy Damage
JotC R4 +115 Holy Damage
JotC R5 +149 Holy Damage
JotC R6 +184 Holy Damage

Multiple paladins can stack different ranks of the judgements on the same mob. The last time my raid group killed Ragnaros we didn't have enough priests to do AoE heals on the rogues, so the three paladins in the melee groups coordinated different ranks of Judgement of Light on him, and the rogues and dps warriors ended up healing themselves a lot.

-Judgement of the Crusader: It is no longer possible to have icons for two different ranks of Judgment of the Crusader appear at the same time when judged by multiple Paladins.

Improved Seal of Righteousness talent should scale with Spell Damage - do any of you have any additional information or recollection on this?
Re: A Guide to Paladin Tanking | 3/13/2006 2:52:11 PM PST
Improved Seal of Righteousness - Tier Two: 5 Talent Points
Increases the damage done by your Seal of Righteousness by 15%. Our basic holy damage generator and our main proactive ability to hold aggro. While an additional 15% may only add 6-7 damage with a fast weapon at level 60, thats an additional 6-7 of holy damage thats helping you generate threat and keep that mobs attention. Also, the 15% is factored in after +spell damage is calculated, meaning that this bonus can potentially be much greater.

This morning I decided to look at the actual Effect listed for the spell in the database and compare it from Vanilla to TBC when it was confirmed without a doubt that it did in fact scale:
Improved Seal of Righteousness: The percentage increase in damage from this talent is now applied after all bonuses from items and effects which increase your spell damage.
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/patch-notes/2-1-0
Vanilla Talent
Improved Seal of Righteousness
Rank 5
Instant
Increases the damage done by your Seal of Righteousness and Judgement of Righteousness by 15%.
Effect #1 (6) Apply Aura #108: Add % Modifier (8)
http://classicdb.ch/?spell=20332
TBC Talent
Improved Seal of Righteousness
Rank 5
Instant
Increases the damage done by your Seal of Righteousness and Judgement of Righteousness by 15%.
Effect #1 (6) Apply Aura #108: Add % Modifier Value: 15
https://tbc-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?spell=20332
Based on this assumption, I asked a very knowledgeable Dev friend if he could take a look at this and to tell me if I was missing something - his reply - "I dont see any difference on those two pages, apart from the value of the modifier (8 vs 15 as you said)."

Another item/enchant that I have been inquiring for years now as to whether it scales with spell damage:
Fiery Blaze Enchantment
Binds when picked up
Use: Enchants a weapon to have a 15% chance to inflict 9 to 14 Fire damage to all enemies within 3 yards.

Oh almost forgot about this as well:
Venomhide Poison
Melee Range
Instant
(6) Apply Aura #3: Periodic Damage
Value: 15
Interval: 3 seconds
http://classicdb.ch/?spell=14795
It's a weapon buff that lasts for 9 hours and you get it by meleeing the Venomhide Ravasaurs in Un'goro Crater.
Anyone remember if it should scale with spell damage as well?
Cheers,
Theloras
Curious why the second oldest post on these new forums are 18 days old while this one is 11 months old.

bump for beta gudness
Is the question being asked: Do procs gain benefits from +spell/element power?
that’s what I’ve been trying to find out literally for years now lol
Well, we’re going to be able to find out ourselves soon enough.
I know that, at least, Blazefury Medallion scaled with certain things (it was either spellpower in general, or +fire damage specifically), but that information is only confirmable as of TBC. I have no way to be certain it functioned that way in Vanilla.
Most of the discussions are from Private Servers, and they don’t fully agree with each other. Some say they scaled, some say they each scaled according to the item itself (each item having it’s own coefficient), and others suggest that it should have but was bugged.
At this point, I tentatively suggest that it probably does until there’s an indication that it does not.
we will have to wait until they open the beta up to full level 60 to do so - so not until late summer or early fall once Classic launches
just tried a fire build
Fiery Plate Gaunlets +adds 2 fire dmg to weapon attack
Mageflame Cloak +21 fire dmg
Plate of the Shaman King +11sp
does not scale…currently
