just imagine as a classic fan haveing some of the current wow content remastered in classic style without any of the changes just imagine running something like antorus the burning throne as a classic wow 40 man
Having the big bad areas but almost impossible to kill as only top 10 guilds in the world can possibly do or not we are only adventures.
Certain areas 5 man group quest only.
Keep it dangerous the more you stray from your capital. Not instant ports just like vanilla.
Cap gear at naxx 40 ilvl for difficult provide itemization across the board. Lvl 60 cap.
All the name boss or raids are impossible or almost need all difficult raids cleared with perfect itemization with 40 man for each one.
Example:
All dungeons range in lvl difficulty decides ilvl as schol to deadmines
Ubrs-za- any 10 man raid
Kara - zg- 20 mansame ilvl
Gruul- BWL same ilvl
Mag - onyx
TK- AQ
SSC - naxx 40 (so, would need to clear all naxx 40 difficultly dungeons for perfect itemization to even think of stepping in a impossible raid).
Any named bosses in the raid.
BT - near impossible(need beyond perfect itemization) not meant to be beaten. Just there for story and mystery. Unforgiving fights time limit as 10 wipes a week it locks.
Maybe 1 to 5 ilvl above naxx only from end bosses only gold drops from trash or BWL ilvl boe. Bosses drop depends on difficulty. Naxx to BWL type ilvl. Again end game raids per expansion not meant to beaten but is possible with no mistakes, perfect itemization, pots, flask, and just dumb luck.
If someone goes in it and fails towns burn around it for story purposes.
Have one above those is impossible with out clearing the impossible. Argus the open world take 40 man to do quest to get to the raid. The bosses give 5 ilvl above naxx and last 10 ilvl.
So, game like this would be massive and take 6 to 10 years to discover everything.
Hidden secrets dungeons hidden professions. To make something unbeatable is ok. Of course give us casual things to improve or customize are play style. Then give the hardcore something to work for. Not everything is meant for everyone. I would be down to adventure a dangerous world.
Would much prefer a state of WoW where they donāt repeat those dreadful, awful, lazy story beats, though I would be down for new content in the form of already planned features that were scrapped for Vanilla.
(I.E. Karazhan, Hyjal.)
Or imagine Bob Ross trying to paint a building in the style of the Sistine Chapel. Its comparable. Newer devs are drastically different from the older devs and they would do a poor job of imitating their work.
Imagine how awesome it would be to have Throne of the Four Winds āremasteredā to the Classic style. You could just look at the raid entrance up in the sky, since you know, you wouldnāt be able to fly up to it. Amazing content.
Post locks after 30 days inactivity to prevent necro.
Iām aware. I didnāt bother checking, but it still counts for the originality check so here is another bunch that isnāt as old and contains more in-depth ideas on similar matters:
If Classic is successful I think weāre a lot more likely to see each expansion getting its own server, perhaps in a progressive format where you could bring in your Classic characters as well as roll new ones.
Iād love to see completely rebalanced expansions that keep the level cap at 60 but I canāt see Blizzard doing that unless they make WoW moddable on the server side which would be completely unprecedented for them.
