Reinhardt shield AND melee swing have a massive delay after v1.28 (+videos,still in +v1.32)

This bug still exists after the latest LIVE patch v1.32

– Ever since the latest patch v1.28.01 on the live servers, Reinhardt has had a severe delay of an extra ~0.5seconds compared to pre-patch when it comes to deploying AND retracing his shield.

In the past deploying your shield was near instantaneous but as of right now, it takes considerably longer for the shield to open up.

A lot of streamers, youtubers and community members have noticed and pointed this out as well.
Please fix this, it’s detrimental to playing Reinhardt, as you can no longer shield in time against incoming damage, sleeping darts, enemy earthshatters and so forth.

– Also, as of patch v1.26 another problem is when you are holding your shield and try to melee swing, it takes a significantly longer time for the swing animation to start.
The game waits for the shield retracing animation to completely finish before the swing animation can start, causing a major delay and give the feel of sluggishness.

Easy to test:
Swing normally.
Now hold your shield up and try to swing. It takes considerably longer.

– A third problem related to the rest as well, is that after the latest patch v1.28.01 his melee swings are delayed quite bit.
Every 2nd swing (even swing / back swing) takes a much longer time than usual to swing.

So why is this happening?
Blizzard added more animation frames to Reinhardt’s shield to make it look nicer but they did not take into account the extra time it would take for these new frames to play out on the existing model. Basically they did not adjust the frame timers, so the new animation takes longer to finish.
A similar animation issue is probably why his melee swing is slower too.

Bump, this is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed.

I added a gif directly to the frames by frames part of the video, but I find it’s better to watch the youtube video to listen to what it is said as well.

I also noticed a damage reduction. I have to hit 75 HP enemies three to four times with Rein’s hammer to kill them when they are not getting heals.

That’s another bug, ghost strikes. You hit someone but it doesn’t register.

Bump. This is a serious bug or stealth nerf that blizzard sneaked in.

Bump. Still not fixed or acknowledged by blizzard as a bug.

I’m not letting this die. We need an answer.

Still no fix or answer on these bugs.

It is rather annoying - brigs shield works normally (instant pop up) while Rein still has the slight delay that got snuck in or got bugged
