He is broadly correct. Maybe you just have bad taste. Considering you unironically defended the covenant system I’ll go with that.
All I hear in a lot of the I hate dragonriding threads are the same basic group of maybe 10 people just screaming the same thing over and over again on how they can not do it. So thus they hate it. Because they hate it, this means to them everyone else must also hate it. And if you do not agree with them, they will tell you to go away from their so called thread because they own it some how and their view is the only view that is allowed to be posted. And add in how they just totally somehow just hate everything about dragonflight xpac but somehow when they get old school flying it will just make their life so much better. I still have yet to figure that one out.

I can’t lie, I did enjoy covenants. Couple redesigns, couple balance tweaks, and some improvement to legendary options and it would have been great.
i personally enjoy dragon riding and hope that it doesnt die when we move on to the next xpac, when they eventually mix the two together in certain zones i hope that there is reward for going with dragonriding vs regualr flying.
My only wish for dragon riding is the ability to latch onto the sides of cliffs & steep terrain since there is no hover button

Perhaps if you didn’t make such a big show of how much you supposedly don’t care (after posting dozens of times) you wouldn’t be invited to go participate in a discussion you might actually care about.

Yeah i wanted a game that respected my time and didn’t felt like it was trying its best to waste it and you wanted the opposite.

It was a lot more than a couple tweaks away from being balanced, and frankly what the game needed was better refinement of the classes without spending all the time on borrowed power. It made no sense to pack everything new into borrowed power when many classes including the one you’re posting from had severe baseline issues that were never addressed (e.g. broken undertuned talents).
Anyway, the biggest contention with covenants was the initial goal to make them difficult to swap. I haven’t heard your opinion on that part yet.
Some people are so thick headed and never learn. Just double down over and over again no matter how many times they are shown to be wrong and even with people that say they agree on the fundamentals.

I can see why THEY stopped replying, you are literally winning their argument for them. At least try to find one thing that has more people positive than negative that can match the very thread you are in let alone all the others there are on the topic because an reddit, with 33 replies aint going to hold water to threads with over 1,000k.

Do you have any new links with which you wish to validate your opinion? “Between 18 and 7 months ago, someone believed something I happen to agree with!” is not compelling evidence. Some of the comments are clearly from months before the expansion came out.
So, how is dragonriding keeping butts in seats in this expansion today?

As if your side don’t act like Blizzard has cut off your legs in have Dragonriding in the game over old school riding from the start. Really some of the big over loaded drama worded, falling off the bridge commits to as why some cant dragonride in this xpac has come from the anti dragonriding group.
I would wager the challenge races are great casual content added to the game.

Two things. One, for it being considered “borrowed power” we sure did keep a lot of it. Two, that awful borrowed power is gone and those talents are still bugged and under tuned. What are we blaming now?
Edit: Number 3. Hunter is an even bigger head scratcher. It should have had 4 really balanced covenant options. Necro was orginally the best. But people complained that it was boring so it got nerfed. Kryian should have been equal to NF, but Pely took huge nerfs based on player feedback.
Flayed Shot ended up being the best pvp/ st, even though several hunters assured me, it was awful. Some tweaks to resets like moc and it would have been good for aoe as well.
Again, two things. One, Opening them up did not increase experimentation or diversity. It just re-enforced meta harder. Two, S1 ret and S2 exodia are what happens when there are no barriers to fotm reroll. You either re-roll or rip.
You are correct. We have different opinions. I felt AP respected my time. I played, my character got stronger.
I do not think farming raz bow for 30 some odd kills on 2 hunters respected my time at all. But you promised that no bonus rolls and the great vault would fix rng. =(
Some of us don’t have your tolerance for the same lazy, arbitrary hurdles for existing game features, hurdles whose existence was previously justified by lies, lies which dragonriding blew holes in.
Old flight is coming. Asking for old flight to be unlocked with the exact same level of challenge as dragonriding is not unreasonable. A Pathfinder that will be absolutely thrown in the garbage in a couple of years anyway, can simply go in the garbage today with all of the other junked Pathfinders.
What do you think someone does when you tell them, repeatedly, their opinion is wrong or doesn’t matter? Do they back down, or do they pick a fight?
If you’ve wanted to dampen this conversation, to dial down the rhetoric, participating in it in the way that you have is the exact opposite of achieving that.

This is a game, with millions of players of varying ages across a dozen countries. I have been reading these forums since they started, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a topic that “most players” agreed on. Even things as small as the yeti pjs.
But, if you are absolutely certain that your opinion is shared by everyone, you do you.
Well obviously you don’t play the game since you are always responding to my posts on the forums.
All I know is that patchfinder as it current stands is basically punishing players that prefer TBC flying. People that love DR are not being punished.

As someone who doesn’t touch dragon race content unless it’s got cosmetics tied to it and passes on all of the racing stuff that doesn’t, I wouldn’t take that wager.
I’m sure there’s someone who likes the challenge stuff, but it’s content that is wasted on me. There’s no incentive to do it. (Going by the achieves of some of the dragonriding diehards in this thread who are doing less dragonriding crap than me, it’s wasted on them, too.)
