If you’re going to give players a free 110 for hitting 60, please capitalise on this by making essences account wide for those people who quit their mains. I do not believe there is a downside to account bound essences

As title says: I’ve done the grind on four separate characters now to their bis essences rank three. I simply do not believe there are any downsides. One argument is it would move the game to a more account based game, but I don’t see how if the game did do that my gameplay experience would be impacted. This is a new thread as the other met it’s fate due to flags I’d be interested to hear if others thought there was a negative. Reposting the below

I re-did the essence grind on an alt

Honestly It was much worse than the first time and It took a lot of willpower to keep going and not just quit the game. Blizzard, isn’t it about time we get some word on account bound essences? I’ll post on my alt below so nobody can say “you just want multiple mains for nothing” because I now have 2 characters with BIS essences.

I'm doing the essence grind a third time

Honestly doing it a second time was awful and I hated it, but the people I play the game with made it worthwhile to stick around. Now faced with 2+ months of no new content I decided to do it a third time. Guess what, It still sucks and It’s boring. It’s the most mind numbingly boring content in the game and I refuse to believe anyone likes collecting Fathom Ray meat. Account bound essences would be a net positive for the game

Done the grind for BIS essences 4 times now on 4 chars. I don’t see any negatives besides more people playing alts. I’m not going to entertain anyone answering with a strawman of “But then people would would account bound ilvl/gear”. This post has just been unbanned after 25 days so please keep it civil.
