Dude the forums were FLOODED with mercys complaining about the GA to 2.5 second nerf, often with “BUT ITS THIS %!!!” to make it seem bigger than 1 second- and they got way, WAY more attention from mercys all over the place than the few doomfist threads were seeing with a few doom mains in here.
Alright, yesterday I completely overlooked this and thought that it wasn’t a big deal
However, after playing several games with mercy GA feels absolutely terrible to use
I just can’t believe they decided to nerf GA instead of changing DB & res. Why?
I’ve been playing mercy since overwatch 1 launched and stuck with her through all the nerfs she received since then. This nerf, however, is the nail in the coffin for her. She’s basically a sitting duck waiting to be slaughtered now.
I sometimes have trouble even now surviving a flanking moira or tracer. Imagine with the nerf to her mobility. All i could do now is whip out my pistol that does no damage and hope it’s a bad moira/tracer player.

Successful Resurrections need to reset GA’s cooldown.
There is no reason to make an already unsafe ability even unsafer and PUNISH Mercy for rezzing.
Because usually when Mercy gets a Resurrection off, it’s because she either has cover or the enemy flopped and forgot to keep an eye out for her. Rewarding enemies for being unaware or lazy is just bs, sorry not sorry.
Combined with no constant health regen in Valk especially, Resurrection feels even more awful to use then ever.

How is this even tolerable? She has no healing output anymore for the “triage” healer they wanted her to be (literally giving her a whole victory pose called triage) only to revert all of it and instead, give a .5 delay in cooldown if you use slingshot or superjump ON TOP of a 2.5sec cooldown??? mercy is going to be even slower, clunkier to play with no value to compensate the movement nerfs.

Them nerfing Mercy’s GA from 1.5 to 2.5 secs is kinda like when they nerfed Sigma barrier cooldown from 1 to 2.5 seconds. Blizz later agreed that Sigma felt clunky so they made the cooldown 2 secs; they need to reduce GA cooldown from 2.5 to 2 secs.
I don’t get it. Besides the movement nerf, she pretty much only got buffs.
She still heals herself (11.25 HPS). Her 50% ADDITIONAL healing on targets below half health is a massive buff for keeping your team alive in those clutch moments. Then that’s compounded with her ult, I assume?

lets look back at 6v6 sigma, his barrier got increased from 1s to 2.5s. thats a 1.5s increase, sure not 1 second but its only 0.5 off.
EVEYRONE bashed this change, it made him feel super clunky and unfun to use his shield with, the same with mercys GA nerf. so his shield cd got reduced to 2 seconds.

Really hit it out of the park there Blizzard. If your goal was to make mercy feel both boring and weak, you really did an outstanding job.
This was 5 seconds of searching, i can easily found countless more. Now of course maybe you didnt, but countless mercy’s made a much bigger deal out of that than dooms are of this. This guys not even being that unreasonable. This change was, from the context of what they were talking about, meant to buff the hero. They messed up. Its a fairly reasonable thing to talk about and point out they missed the mark.
