Research the server before creating a character, there are a good amount of healthy servers but still quite a few are massively lopsided faction wise or lower pop than can sustain raids/pugs.

RDF/LK is coming and I think that’s gonna boost the population quite a bit.

For me, ICC and the new dungeons are the heart of wrath and RDF will also be huge for alts.

HC will never even get remotely close to player counts to Wrath or Retail. A lot of people are messing with HC due to boredom. Once ICC comes out, there is going to be a lot of grinding and HC will take a hit.

Mega servers are likely to get hit by Queue storm in 10’000’s. I play on Pagle. During Ulduar wave back, Pagle was locked and highest queue i’ve seen was 112 or something. Meanwhile all Mega’s were north of 20k queue times lmao. I do not envy them.

Offpeak times, like 2-3 months into every tier, it is better to be on a mega server ofc, due to sheer amount of people on there.

Returning pvp player

So uhhh how do i get back into it ? i got some honor gear which seems alrighty ish but how would i go about getting into a raid for a good wep (im a warrior) or even finding an arena partner for arena points since i fell behind am in honor gear now?

Best gearing route for someone returning for S8 pvp?

is honor gear going to be discounted end of season? i have 75k honor, in full deadly gear. do i buy a few pieces of relentless honor gear now? whats the most effective route to gear up for s8 for a returning player?

I work from home and since last week I have only been able to get into 1 raid (gdkp which the RL ninja’d the loot) and 1 daily heroic dungeon. My gear score is about 4200. I can’t even get into a VoA. I immediately get declined the moment I mention 4200 gs. Even with phase 1 bis, people are still gate keeping the content. Everything has to be 4600+ minimum which is totally unacceptable. Thank you for finally adding RDF. Gear score requirements were getting absolutely insane.

Hunter - returning player help

Hey guys. Returning to wrath and haven’t played since tbc. Decided to level a new main with the xp buff in place I decided hunter. I’m going BM spec currently have a bear pet and will build him quite tanky etc. I’m using a hunters mark into auto shot macro atm, just wondering any tips or tricks or good macros to make me leveling easier etc. Ty all

Any suggestions for a returning player who wants to PVE?

I know I’m late to the party for WOTLK and pretty much every guild that’s serious already has their people and probably doesn’t want anyone else. Hey all, me and 4 friends have returned ti wrath as we seen the experience buff and thought, for old times sakes let’s level a new toon. I had just enough emblems for shoulders and chest looms. Decided I’d make an alliance pally as I just don’t like the aesthetics of blood elf. Any tips with pally leveling? Decided to go ret to level. Hello, I returned to try playing WOTLK but noticed that both the servers that my 60 accounts are on have turned 99% horde. Are there free transfers or any good servers that have a strong alliance population? I’ve also been debating whether I want to buy the character upgrade or just re-experience leveling. Is the leveling from 1-60 faster in WOTLK than in classic?

ICC is out next week.

HC is going to take a big hit in daily logins.
Lots of people in my guild are playing HC just to kill time. I’d imagine same applies to a lot of other people.

HC and Era will dip in numbers next week. And in 3-4 months they will go back up.
HC/Era are like a side chick for when you get bored.

yeah pretty much. wrath is getting its turn for the spotlight since classic got hc and retail got their crap patch lol. our time to shine baby, rdf icc lets gooo. inb4 blizz flips up rdf so im very low hype. still, its a good time to join as there are party people still leveling with jj right now.
