Blizzard, darling, shnookims… Let’s have a heart to heart.
You have data at this point:
How many are on the servers at any given point
How many are in queue at that same given point
An inkling in your estimation (magic 8-ball or otherwise) of how many players you expect to leave classic after they look around a bit.
With those 3 data points, how is it you do not have a set number of servers set up, but rather are eeking them out in dribbles every day or so? Let’s be frank: you are turning people away from the game, not due to a bad game, but due to bad rollout. Those who love vanilla are being turned off in disgust. Those of us who were on backwater server types with medium pops, RP and RPPVP are getting massive overflows of refugees just looking for a lower queue, which has clobbered the hell out of the realm “ruleset” of RP.
A reoccurring theme in your “we’ve just opened more servers” posts is “We strongly encourage players who wish to avoid extended queues on crowded PvP realms to plan to move to one of these new realms. As always, thank you for your patience and understanding!” How many times do you feel players should be asked to pull up stakes repeatedly before you realize that what you are doing is causing irreparable harm to both your credibility and the game itself? I would love to think you actually have a plan, but this daily treading water is getting worrisome to watch.
