How long are we going to argue over Msv and Rsv

I made one, admittedly, snide remark and then haven’t gone back. Are you really that daft?

I have to wonder if you’ve ever actually raided before. Yes the primary role of a dps regardless of “type” is to do dps. There is a clear cut difference in how a ranged/caster dps will handle things as compared to a melee dps. Don’t try to pretend there isn’t.

… “A melee can do the mechanics that ranged do so they are the same”… the fel are you on about? A role isn’t just about dps… it’s about how they handle mechanics. But hey, you go get a raid group of nothing but melee dps and see how well it goes.

So you admit you lied then? I’m happy for you, you beautiful gnome you.

You’re a few crayons short of the rainbow. By the way, 30 tanks cleared heroic Ny’alotha, so I’m fairly certain melee groups could do it as well.

Whatever you say you beautiful gnome.

Don’t try to pretend there is…

Can work real good, slightly more annoying to the melee dps having to run back for a mechanic… but it can be done well. Darkeforge also pointed out the extre, all tanks raid.

People are allowed to give feedback about their own class and how to improve it even if other classes also aren’t perfect. You know what kind of comments aren’t conducive for beneficial discussion? These:

“Stop giving feedback! It will never happen!”

That’s real helpful. Doesn’t help that you just straight up lied about not posting it. Also, don’t forget this time you incited the melee/range argument in a SV thread that wasn’t about it:

Here’s the comment you made in that thread after you incited the melee vs range argument:

So you bring up the melee SV vs ranged SV argument, and then you tell people to stop whining about it. What a class act.

Going into every thread about SV and crying you wanted ranged back isn’t feedback, it’s whining. Also, most of us who aren’t quitters, i.e. you, have been dealing with this for four years. No one even discusses the current spec here anymore specifically because of you and people like you who just turn it into “muh ranged spec is gone”…

I don’t go into every thread about SV to talk bout ranged SV vs melee SV. I only engage in that discussion in threads that are based on it or where there is already discussion taking place (usually involving you).

So far you’ve incited the melee SV vs ranged SV argument more than I have. If you need proof just look at my comment two comments up.

What part of, most of us have been dealing with this for four years now needs more explaining to you?

Side-stepping again. Look here:

You are the one inciting these arguments.

Pot meet kettle.

Lol. So all of this. I just miss ranged survival because it was a fluid playstyle that I enjoyed. Hated that it was removed (after blizz gutted it and wouldn’t revert the nerfs, for the REST of the xpac. Then removed it).

We did lose a smooth rotation, well built, (albeit lacking in gimicks I guess) physical/dot class. That was unique to the game. (Unique, as in, the only ranged, physical dmg class, that used dots, to build sustained dmg and cleave)

I feel that it’s unfair, for any class, to be gutted of their primary dmg, and deleted. P.s. a lot of effort is going into the ideas of rebuilding it.

P.p.s. a lot of things are going into marksmen in alpha that make it look…more fun.

P.p.p.s. I’d still like og survival back but, in moving fwd, I digress

Quote me where I incited the argument in a thread that wasn’t about it.

Hopefully Blizzard’s direction for SL, with the ‘unpruning’, came to them too late to bring back ranged SV this time around, and they bring it back in the next xpac instead.

You say this like it’s a bad thing.

I mean he says this with 2 threads that are or at least in part about improving the current survival and no one is in either deriding them.

We only got Mana as a band-aid fix because they couldn’t get the intended class resource-system to work to a satisfying degree prior to release.

They even said this themselves in the 2005 panel.

It was originally intended for us to get Focus as a resource(just with a different design from what we see today).

You know it’s possible to buy an arrow which has been infused with Arcane magic, don’t you?

Nothing says that it has to be the Hunter who infuses the magic mid-combat.

Dumbest statement you’ve made in quite a while.

It does. You once again managed to overlook the point Spinnerdh made about the differentiation of ranged weapons, how that makes for a unique fantasy compared to other classes.

There’s a big difference between what arbitrary “combat role” you fill when opting to join a group, compared to how you actually fight/play once you’re in there.

We/they never said this. They said that the changes done to SV were the biggest, for reasons explained earlier.

And you wonder why most people consider you a laughing stock and rail against RSV. So to keep in line with the rules you want to play by, SV is still melee and is remaining melee in SL. Enjoy three plus more years of whining on the forums.

Dark doesn’t even play a Hunter. He is just a troll. He wins when he successfully trolls people. In that sense, he is winning.

There are far more trolls here than one person. I fully believe people can be passionate about their argument, yet logical about this situation as well. The issue is that NO side wants to give in, and they shouldn’t have to. BUT there can be a middle ground.

Darkeforge doesn’t have a side though. He is opposed to bringing back ranged Survival as a fourth spec, and that’s it. He doesn’t play Hunter, nor does he give reasoning as to why bringing back ranged Survival as a fourth spec would be a bad thing.
