9.2 Character Transfer Token Known Issues

Good morning!

Since the launch of 9.2 and the introduction of the new Character Transfer Tokens, we’ve seen a handful of issues reported. To help keep this organized, we’re going to use this topic to track and provide updates on the current known issues.

[Resolved] Guild Transfers are missing from the shop

Guild Services have been re-enabled and should be available once more.

We’ve temporarily disabled the Guild Transfer service while we address a bug related to following a guild using the new Character Transfer Token.

Players who attempt to use the Follow Guild option during a Character Transfer may receive the error: There was a problem with your order. Please try again.

We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

[Resolved] Unable to use a Character Transfer Token to move to an RP realm

Update: 5:40 PM Mar 2
The new client patch has been pushed live. If you were having trouble specifically transferring to an RP realm, please give it another try.

Update: 7:00 AM Mar 2
Preparation of a new client patch began last night. There is another small patch scheduled ahead of it that began preparating before the testing of this fix was completed, so the fix was not able to make it into that update. We’ll share an update here once the patch with the fix has been released.

Update: 6:00 AM Mar 1
Testing of the fix was completed overnight. Unlike hotfixes which can be applied to the servers quickly, this fix will require a client patch which means it will take a little more time to be prepared and released.

The game team believes they have identified the cause and are preparing a fix which will go into testing soon.

Players who select an RP realm as the destination of their Character Transfer may receive the error: There was a problem with your order. Please try again.

We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

[Resolved] Unable to see Character Transfer Tokens after completing a purchase

Update: 3:00 PM Feb 24
The hotfix has been applied to the live game. If you were logged in when this hotfix was applied, you may need to fully log out and log in again to see the Character Transfer Tokens. We’ll continuing monitoring for any outstanding reports.

There are some situations where a token purchase may not appear for an account. Some of these situations are intentional. Please check this support article to see if your case may fall into one of those categories:

We’ve also confirmed that some users do not meet the situations listed in this article and are continuing to investigate the root cause.

Unable to use Character Transfer Tokens to move between accounts

We are currently monitoring reports of this but do not have specific information to share at this time. Once we have an update, we’ll share that here.

Attempting to use a Charater Transfer Token, it does not work

We are aware of a UI issue in which the Character Transfer window does not accurately inform a user that something is blocking the transfer (such as Unclaimed Mail, or Heirlooms).
