Oceanic Servers?

I’ve been following the WC3 for a long time now, keeping up with the competitive scene and playing custom games, but have been put of from playing melee due to the connection limitations in Australia. I want to preorder Reforged, but I’d like to know if Oceanic servers will be a thing. Thank you for any assistance.

Oceanic Servers

This game needs oceanic servers, There is a large chuck of your playerbase you arent catering for and when you force an entire region onto terrible servers with a high ping expect those people to drop your game like a hot potato.

Will we be getting oceanic servers? I’ve read that Starcraft remastered doesn’t have them but I know SC2 does.

WC3R Server/Realm finder for oceanic players

I’m from Australia and there is no “Oceanic Gateway” in the original WC3. But i assume i will get decent match making for me through the WC3R battle net client with other battle net client users, would match making work like in SC2 or HOTS in regards to Australian or global servers? And how would i match with players playing original WC3 who have specific Gateways versus me a WC3R battle net client player in Australia, would it even happen at all?

Please consider players Oceanic/South American players!

The Oceanic and South American community is large and active. There is a great competitive scene coming out of these regions, however without host bots these players cannot have fair games for tournaments etc. Is there any word on being able to host games in a similar way to how host bots used to allow? Otherwise it seems that South American/Oceania players are basically removed from the competitive scene again because of high ping.

i understand removing all the bots that flooded the game list with rubbish games but how about the people that arent close to any of the blizzard servers? we had a single game up on our bot based in sydney so we could play with low ping now the lowest we can get is 400ms on the bliz servers. hope we can get a oceanic server before reforged comes out at the end of the year for all the new players coming in…

There should be an Oceanic (OCE) filter in custom games

Not sure why there isn’t one there already but it kinda looks like you’re trying to get rid of the different servers and just be one giant one which is fine. Perhaps you guys just haven’t gotten around to it yet but I hope you add an OCE filter option in the custom games section, since you provide oceanic servers for WoW, etc it should be the same here for us trying to filter the games for good ping. Speaking of ping, perhaps it would be a good idea to show ping as well to the server somewhere…

US West, US East, Asia, Europe?

Dont miss Oceania and South America servers, please!

Unplayable lag/ping built in?

Hopefully when the Re-Forged launches next year they use the Servers located in Australia to host games in Oceania.

Can we get South American servers?

Agreed! I see so many people of Oceania and South America asking a server to them dont have lag, please bring that <3

We must be able to choose server location when hosting

Having servers in Australia is critical for all Oceanic players. Not to mention RTS and MOBA games are highly dependent on having low latency.
