For classes like barbarian it completely ruins the class. Damage abilities are far too important for this class. It has terrible survivability and even worse it’s mobility is atrocious. You can get leap for example but why would I do that? Skill slots are so important for barbarians that there is nowhere to put it on my skill bar without ruining my build. I can’t imagine how much worse this will be once we get further down the skill tree.
They need to implement path of exile style or grim dawn …
The 6 skill slots is not enough for how elaborate the skill trees are, and how many skills you can actually have. With the necromancer it feels like you only have 4 skills, since taking skeleton or golem off the bar de summons them. If we are really only allowed 6 abilities, the elaborate skill tree suddenly becomes very boring and limited. Many of the items that give + to entire skill sections become bad. Hope blizzard actually reads this post.
6 skill slots feels extremely restrictive IMO and just adding 1-2 more would make a world of difference and allow better customization of your character. With only 6 slots it feels like everything is already decided for you.
After giving D4 a shot, I feel like I am still playing D3, with upscaled graphics.
I do enjoy the general direction of the game. But I feel like in 2023, we still playing 4 skills on the bar + mouse clicks? Is that the best we can do? Our monkey brains cant handle more or whats the issue?

I have a lot of issues with the game, enough of it that I requested a refund. But as far some older or nostalgic gamers saying that the game limits itself to 6 skills or the game is too console centric is just plain wrong.
I am pretty sure that Activision has done enough research on ARPGs to understand that most players, even the most hardcore, only utilizes 3-4 skills in their toon’s arsenal. In fact a lot of old school D2 players uses 2 or 3.

Please bring back the Left Trigger Modifier to allow for the use of more than 6 skills, it will allow for greater class depth and more enjoyment.

Sequisha and Zizaran both say more skill slots would be better for D4 and you can see Nugi nod his head and say “yeah” very clearly he agrees. Datmodz even nods his head slightly at the end.
