You know you can always just kick the vendors off and allow party members to ride with you just like the Yak, Traveler’s Mammoth and other vendor mounts.

If I had my druthers theyd sell it at 90 till J6 as they plan, then have a short half price sell for another 30 days…then Id put it on a vendor permanently for 1.5 million and leave it there till the game finally dies some day.
Likely, because this is the 20th WoW anniversary shop mount for this event. My oldest brother pointed out that there was a reddit topic about this too. Every jewel on the mount represents an expansion.

My 2 cents:
There’s over 700 mounts in the game. Plenty only obtainable from doing challenging content like the PVP mounts and the raid drops and “glory to the” mounts. Over 700. Including ones you can get in game that do what the store mounts do.
Of those 700 there’s like 30 store mounts. And a couple of those have already been in the trading post. They aren’t pay to win. They aren’t required. And NO ONE in the game looks at them in awe. In fact I’d argue most people look and say “oh, look, that idiot spend $90 on pixels!”
So long story short, who cares? If you don’t want to spend money on digital stuff, don’t. But I personally feel like people buying these mounts is helping pay for WoW and keep the subscription at an affordable $15 a month despite inflation of the past 20 years.
