As players continue to level up to 40 and experience all that Phase 2 has to offer, we’ve closely monitored in-game progress, feedback from the community, and bug reports. With scheduled weekly maintenance next week, we’ll make the following adjustments to some classes that are underperforming.
Hunter
Chimera Shot damage increased to 120% of weapon damage (was 100%) and Chimera Shot Serpent Sting damage increased to 48% of Serpent Sting damage (was 40%).
Explosive Shot base damage done before Attack Power increased by 15%.
Carve damage increased to 65% of weapon damage (was 50%).
Mage
Frostfire Bolt base damage increased by 50%, and its increased damage from bonus spell damage increased by 16%, identical to the value for Fireball.
Spellfrost Bolt base damage increased by 50%, and its increased damage from bonus spell damage increased by 14%, identical to the value for Frostbolt.
Regeneration, Mass Regeneration, and Chronostatic Preservation spell power coefficients increased by 88%.
Developers’ notes: This is to compensate for Mage healers wearing primarily items which grant “damage and healing” instead of “healing”.
Chronostatic Preservation mana cost decreased by 44%.
Resolved some tooltip issues with Chronostatic Preservation.
Paladin
Seal of Martyrdom damage increased to 50% weapon damage per swing (was 40%). Seal of Martyrdom Judgement increased to 85% weapon damage (was 70%).
Seal of Martyrdom Seal and Judgement effects now benefit from talents and effects that modify Seal of Righteousness, particularly Improved Seal of Righteousness.
Warlock
Grimoire of Synergy now increases damage done by the Warlock and their pet by 25% when it is active (was 5%).
Warrior
Devastate damage increased to 150% of weapon DPS (was 100%), before being increased by number of Sunder Armor stacks.
Thanks for the slight buff to hunter range dps… can you guys please add a rune called “magic ammo”
granting ranged hunters to not need an ammo bag/quiver and have magical ammo that is 1dps per level of the hunter so at level 40 the magic ammo/arrow is 40dps? this would really boost the RANGE hunters dps without over buffing the melee ones
Can y’all address the sad state of Holy Paladins? Beacon is just another one of many buffs that we have to track, Horn of Lordaeron is essentially useless outside of the case scenario that you are the only Paladin, and even then you aren’t likely to be in melee group because of Wild Strikes, and Inspiration Exemplar has no use in Gnomeregan. Also, Crusader Strike on a different slot instead of competing for Beacon would be nice. Or am I the only one who thinks we kinda suck compared to others with our runes?
We just going to ignore sniper training, master marksman, cobra strikes, invigoration, steady shot, serpent spread, and kill command all being useless? Trap launcher making fire traps scale off ranged attack power would be an amazing help to marksman hunter as well.
Paladin changes do nothing for tanks in current state. Seems like it does a little for rets, but probably not enough to move the needle substantially. We’ll see.
For tanks:
Make us uncrittable through hand of reckoning rune, change redoubt and reckoning to on-hit/being hit, give us hammer of the righteous (or maybe make seal of righteousness hit multiple targets when using aegis rune) so that we can use martyrdom or aegis on chest rune instead of divine storm.
i hear they are going to change the name to make it more fitting… it will be known as “Self Nerf shot” and continue to function as it is to be true to its name.
Warriors need some buffs to our utility and survivability runes. As well as some quality of life changes to underutilized or annoying things. Please reply with more suggestions.
Some suggestion:
Warbringer give 25% damage reduction on your charge, intercept and intervene for 2/3s. (enters an enhanced defensive stance")
Enraged regen needs a 30% dr on top of heal, it is extremely weak for a survivability rune. Possibly a way to lower the cooldown by kills or proccing enrages?
Victory rush needs to proc on assists/kills Reset on kills. (or always active with a version of reset on kill/assist). would be interesting if it had a scaling modifier with hp or missing hp either for dmg or healing. scale off stamina directly?
Remove the shared cooldown between retal/shield wall/recklessness. reduce them to 10-15 min cds. put a 30sec to 2 min cd shared on activation. (main thing is removing shared cd)
Currently Commanding Shout is not affected by the talent Booming Voice, buff all our shouts to work with booming voice, including piercing howl, intimidating shout.
Remove the rage cost from Battleshout and Commanding Shout. Buff the duration to 5 minutes
Second Wind
Rend and Thunderclap still have no scaling modifiers
