NO LFD in WOTLK? unacceptable

Funny thing is if wow didn’t have LFG tool today, it would be chilling with all the old mmos that became med-low pop and barely alive. LFG tool made the game much more accessible and 90% of the wow subs are casuals who want to be able to see the raid or do dungeons without sitting in town for 2 hours only to spend another 2-3 hours wiping and going back to town after wipes and people leave.

Yes. LFG is an accessibility tool. It’s objectively good to have it from the standpoint of making a better video game.

… and that completely misses the point of Classic. It’s a better journey and social experience. It captures what the game used to be.

That started changing with the tail end of WotLK with LFG, and obviously more drastically in Cata with everything it removed and changed. There’s no reason to emulate the beginnings of that change in a so-called “Classic” version of the game.

Might as well just play Retail at that point. LFD changes how people interact. Pretending it doesn’t is stupid.

LFD comes in the last tier of WOTLK and it’s just a breeze through for everyone. It’s not a challenge and it comes after WOTLK is basically finished. It’s a non issue.

It can be if you actually socialize in the chat while you look. Play a few rounds of ([Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] + movie title.) Do some crafting for people. Have a mount off.

Clicking the button and flying around farming alone isn’t social. It’s just convenient.

The quality-of-life convenience of the dungeon finder is objectively Good, and should be in classic Wrath.

WotLK Classic LFD

I get that the popular vote from subscribers are against a LFD. But I agree with those who want it during the patch it was originally released in. There is also a player base that has been waiting for Wrath to come out, that may decide not to subscribe now. Low Level Players NEED Dungeon Finder

As a low level Player it can be difficult to find a group to do a dungeon because hardly anyone is playing at low levels. Dungeon Finder groups up generally around 20ish minutes as a DPS? People will be more inclined to level being able to Queue with a Dungeon Finder and quest while the tool looks for a group. It should go in with Pre Patch for Wrath of the Lich King. I don’t understand how it can be about the journey or social experience when the 3 dungeons I’ve ran so far in classic have been similar to my retail dungeon experience, minus running to the dungeon entrance. Having ran to dungeon entrances many times already, I can say it’s been pretty boring and time consuming. Just give me the teleport to dungeon option please.

ICC final raid implemented…

Looking for Dungeon tool implemented.

So not adding it for the entirety of Warth would not make sense as far as the experience of the time goes but would make sense as far as when it was released goes and in massive theory…should be implemented by Blizzard in the ICC patch/raid release.

The caveat being none of these classic iterations are probably running off of the foundation they were then but rather the foundation retail WoW has so maybe thats part of the issue here…assuming LFD never gets implemented.

Ive only been watching one streamee recently and as far as I have seen, unless I missed it, he hasnt advocated against LFD. I would suspect he would be in favor of it but I could be wrong.
