Low Level Players NEED Dungeon Finder

As a low level Player it can be difficult to find a group to do a dungeon because hardly anyone is playing at low levels. Dungeon Finder groups up generally around 20ish minutes as a DPS? People will be more inclined to level being able to Queue with a Dungeon Finder and quest while the tool looks for a group.

It should go in with Pre Patch for Wrath of the Lich King.

If the tool can primarily group you with Players from your server that would be ideal. Grouping up with players from the same server first is important for community feel with Dungeon Finder tool.

I’m leveling an alt right now and I don’t feel like I “NEED” to be able to teleport all around the world to do dungeons. I’ve done RFC, WC, BFD, RFK and now SM GY all without the dungeon finder.

We did dungeons just fine without it in vanilla and TBC and the first three major patches of WOTLK. It is not “”“NEEDED”"".

putting SM where they put it and allowing alliance feels like a questionable practice… imagine if they did that in retail… the tears. the tears!!

You’re playing Horde, aren’t you?
I don’t see Stockades on that list.
Wouldn’t you like to run that dungeon without the deathcrawl?

Everyone gets boosted because it’s so hard to find a dungeon group.

Wrath leveling is faster and queueing for a dungeon while you quest will be a hell of a lot better leveling experience. Its gives DPS a chance to not feel like they have to respec to tank or heal just to do a dungeon. They can queue as DPS and just wait for the queue to fill.

I like the idea of prioritizing grouping with players from your server first. And also, if it’s the teleporting you don’t like, it can still put groups together and not teleport to dungeon.

So you ignore meeting stone summons because teleporting to the dungeon is for scrubs right?

I like that part of SM, traveling through horde territory to get there as alliance. It gives the dungeon more character.

it explains why horde has to run to gnomeregan… o wait they get a teleporter.

Dungeon finder is not a bad thing - but I don’t think it should not teleport you anywhere. At least the 2 people should run to the instance.

Yea you gonna need dungeon finder because classic and tbc gonna be dead when wotlk comes out.

It is not needed at all. You can find groups manually. You have all the tools there already.

Meeting stones shouldn’t have been put in the game just like DF shouldn’t be. Thankfully blizz is removing the ladder :). And meeting stones are a far lesser evil than DF. Don’t pretend like they’re on the same lvl just so you can act like the person you’re replying to is some sort of “hypocrite”. Weak manipulation tactic.

The way you want to play the game, how you describe here, is in the smallest minority of players. Sub 150 players I would say that would enjoy playing the game that way.

The other couple hundred thousand of us would prefer a system that lets us play the game. A major pro to the Dungeon Finder is playing content you might otherwise skip. Sometimes we level quickly and miss out on early game dungeons and those dungeons go un-played 100%. There is a lot of wasted time spamming in a trade / LFG channel and then having to make the journey. Hours of total time.

You are probably the type of player that likes to Quest to level instead of grinding mobs in Dungeons. I’m a ginder. I love leveling in dungeons and find questing boring. Dungeon Finder greatly helps me out wether im leveling a tank, healer, or dps. Because I can queue for a dungeon and quest while the queue fills.

that’s great. you can have this experience on retail

Everyone gets boosted because it’s so hard to find a dungeon group… because everyone is getting boosted.

A lot of players don’t want to play/level their character in the game they chose to play.

I mean… a lot of players have also already leveled over the past 3 years…

I guess the question really is, for those new to the game, leveling alts, or starting late, would they prefer to level with a leveling guild community, or queue. One of those is definitely more social than the other, but Retail has evolved to be a game that offers a lot of options for the solo player. I suspect there are a number of people who like those things, too.

So then, since you find Meeting Stones to simply be a “lesser evil” I assume you refuse to use them? You know, in the spirit of community.
