How do the arena changes 'kill' casual arenas?

Could someone please explain to me why people are mad about the tbc arena changes, and whther it’s rational to be mad about?

Are They Going to Change This Arena System So We Can Play?

Yes this needs another thread because many of us are here for TBC because we can’t fathom playing Retail. We want WoW at it’s best and that game was TBC. With that said one of the many reasons Retail PvP has failed is that it eliminates the majority of PvP players from wanting to try Arena. Less players means all sorts of problems. There is no need to bring in failed Retail systems into TBC which was a perfect PvP expansion. We need for rating to start at 1500. Sorry this is a deal breake…

I Would Play Arena With Zero Rewards

Because I legitimately enjoy arena. My friends and I spent about 2-3 years with 70 twinks queueing arenas with no rewards. I’ve played Pserver arenas without rewards (AT, HH). I would play TBC arenas if there were literally zero arena points, no arena sets and no titles. Rating requirements on pvp gear when there are meta specs

It doesnt make sense. In retail, where class adjustments are made - it makes sense. In a classic expansion where class balance is finished in the first patch and the entire meta is known before launch, its a hinderance to fun~! Weapons and shoulders distinguish the big boys enough. Revert your planned changes for arena

Teams should not start at 0 and season 1&2 rating requirement should not be altered, everything should be left as was in the original TBC, it is not in the best interest of participation and in spirit of the original game which if that is your intent since you’re including the tornados in s1 it makes no sense to mess with the system. How do they manage to ruin something so great so very easily with one swift change??? Is nobody over seeing the decision making? There is NO way more than 1 person or group thought this change was a good idea? What in the world?
