Blizzcon Band - Le serrafim

Usually there is a lot more hype and chatter around Blizzcon. I’m a little sad to see the forums so quiet this time around. But for those of you still here, how do you feel about the blizzcon band choice?

It’s a K-Pop band called Le Serrafim.

Defintely a departure from the usual style of things like Metallica, Offspring, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, etc.

Personally I don’t really have a pony in this race, and although K-Pop is not really my thing, I think it’s cool they are branching out a little. I have to wonder though how all the people who claim WoW is too bright and cheery and poppy now have to feel about this. They are probably going to hate it! :upside_down_face:

Another point of interest… I noticed the band is only scheduled to play for half an hour. That’s not much of a concert!

There’s been at least three threads on this. But with all of the fake outrage over dumb stuff— including this— it’s hard to find these threads. lol

There was like a 500 post on it a week or two ago.

And the K-pop band just sounds like five Britney spears, I mean it’s nothing earth shattering.

I honestly can’t remember any Blizzcon musical performers.

Really? I used the forum search tool and couldn’t find anything for some reason. :woman_shrugging:

My bad I guess. :upside_down_face:

Your search skills suck…Is no one going to discuss this? Concert at Blizzcon

I looked up the bands name, but not the term “k-pop.” I see where I went wrong now. :upside_down_face:

It’s spelled a little funky, so maybe that’s why. But if you’ve got some popcorn, enjoy!

Honestly it’s been pretty quiet about the entire convention around here. There have been posts but not many

Yeah, i noticed just about zero hype here about the Con.

Kind of weird tbh.

I don’t think these types of events are that “in style” anymore these days, tbh. The world changed a lot after COVID.

Sad really. Even though the last thing i went to was a gaming convention in Boston years ago with my 2 sons.

Maybe a decade ago

I mean. Why would there be a bunch of fanfare?

A large number of players are either actively pissed off at whatever Blizzard game they play or apathetic.

A lot of players either actively hate the people who make the game or again purely apathetic.

There isn’t any reason for any particular player of a Blizzard game to be hyped. We either already know whats coming, for games like Overwatch or Diablo. Or they just straight up don’t care lol

People weren’t really hyping like mad about any of those bands.

Last gaming convention I went to was the early 2000s to E3 a couple times, because I was working for Dynamix/Sierra/Vivendi.

That’s true.

For example, I have never been a big movie theatre person. I always liked watching stuff at home better so I could eat whatever snacks I wanted, pause as needed, wrap myself up in a blanket cocoon, use my own bathroom, etc.

My friends were the opposite. They loved the theatre and constantly tried to drag me to it. But since COVID they have all done a 180 and rather have movie nights at home (and no one is allowed to come who had the snifflies in the last week or so). Like 8 people I know are like this now. And that’s just my group. I can’t imagine what else is out there.

I can’t really decide if I find it sad or for the best.
