Can we politely say "Thank you" for the Animated short

Thank you for the amazing work on my favorite hero!

Thank you Blizzard. The animatic was great, and I appreciate the look into one of my favorite characters

That feel when you fail step one

You know, that’s typically true when the audience understands the source they’re criticizing, and aren’t just upset that the Gamer gremlin isn’t the entirety of the character

But then the forums wouldn’t have an excuse to be angry about everything. The forums can’t be happy with something.

I’ve expressed my feelings of being underwhelmed by it, but still expressed my gratitude and the positive things about it.

The art is totally beautiful. The smoke when D.Va uses her Defense Matrix on the missiles is gorgeous. While I’m not a huge fan of the story and the little we gained from it, it still took a load of time, effort, and talent to create it.

So, thank you Devs. I know the responsw is not as positive as previous animations. But thank you for creating it, thank you for giving us something beautiful. Thank you for giving us a peek into Busan in the Overwatch universe and letting us see a little more about D.Va.

Lets pretend we like something so we can be “nice” and feel good about ourselves when we should really should just feel like a liar.

Doing things just to get that squishy feeling inside makes the world a better place.

I came away from the short thinking, “It’d so cool if Dva could actually fly in the game!” I liked it a lot!

I mean I could maybe say that Charlet Chung could have hit those money lines with a little more feeling as DVA, and maybe the flashback could have been given just a little more emphasis to make DVA more human, although it being included at all really was great writing.

All in all the short was great, Thank You

Really? Do you know how much work that takes? I do not but it is probably a lot.

Thank you Blizzard!!

What do you mean? 123

I completely agree.

However there’s a difference between genuine criticism-

And disrespect.

I’m glad for some new content. Absolutely. Nothing wrong with that.

I will be thankful once priorities get set straight and the game gets fixed.

The experiene of their video game product should be the focus here. Not over exhaggerated hype.

I still say this short was forced and they could have done a better job with it.

Can we be honest here?

This thread was created to drown out player concerns regarding issues with the game. As with all positivity forced threads they push aside the threads that are tryin to add critique and imrpovement feedback for this game.

Like did we really need a short? To divert not only player attention with many game issues but also development focus?

People are not saying the short isn’t well crafted, they are saying that the story behind the short is crap.

It is.

I’ll be happy to explain the shortcomings if you wanna talk about it. I mean it was pretty but that was about it.

I was actually thinking the same thing too.

I doubt it. Artists tend to be more critical towards their own work (after all they can see all the “flaws” from behind the scene). Besides it’s hardly the modelers or animators fault people are mocking the shallow story. They won’t take it personally.

I personally enjoyed the video.
It changed my mind about Hana Song and made her more personable to me.

+1 to TS for attempting a positive thread and +1 to OW team for doing a good job.

Here, i would like to draw attention that as much as there are negative responses to “Shooting Stars”, there have been a fair number of threads in support of it, if not praising it.

It is just that because of the negative mire that is this forum, the threads were all drowned out.
