Hello! So i have the same problem as everyone here.
Im a blind person but it seems that im not the only one.
I got a response from blizzard and hear this:
Hello! So for a week or since the last update which was 25.3 i cant open my shop in the game.
Im a blind person and i tried a lot to open the shop but doesnt work.
I tried to:
Unninstal and reinstall the game.
Repair the game files.
Connecting to another network.
Nothing. Still the shop is closed.
What can i do?

And their answer:
Good day to you Bleau! This is Specialist Game Master Nuvradant.

Thanks for taking the time to contact me, I understand that you are getting an error that the Chop is closed in Hearthstone after the recent update. I understand how frustrating this is, so let me investigate this for you.

Thanks for the update. Normally if this happens after an update, it can be due to your game client not being updated from the Battle.net desktop app. Uninstalling and reinstalling should clear this problem unless there is a wide-spread problem with the shop.

If there is, please check our support Twitter for announcements of outages: https://twitter.com/BlizzardCSEU_ENa

I’m sorry to say that Customer Support is not able to spend your in-game gold directly or reactivate the shop.

There is currently no known problem with the shop, so please see the technical support forums here for further assistance: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/hearthstone/c/technical-support

I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this has caused. Please let me know if you experience any further problems.

Thank you for your time and patience. Have an Epic day.

So ive said on my ticket that ive reinstalled the game etc etc and then: you must reinstal the game. What?
And then:it seems like there is no problem with the shop but i see hundreds of people having the same problem as me and even the moderators know about it.
What is going on?

Thinking about this some, the problem may not be in the Hearthstone client or servers, but related to the Battle.Net systems, and how they require Windows to work with them. Problem seems limited to Windows users, is probably hard-to-reproduce, and I have seen a couple of reports of people resolving their issues randomly through unrelated software updates (e.g. through Steam).
It shouldn’t have taken two weeks for Activision/Blizzard to appear to start to take the problem seriously, but there’s still the challenge of getting the right technical people involved to examine the issue. If the solution involves a change to HS client or servers, then we can hope it will be rolled out with the miniset patch probably sometime next week.
Customer support staff can’t really help here; they’re just following their script, and we left the script weeks ago.

Has there at least been any type of acknowledgement from Blizz/battle.net stating they are aware & working on the Arena being “temporarily disabled” & the shop being closed? It has been close to 20 some days now I believe.

But some Android players are experiencing it as well and Support even mentioned wanting some logs from them too.

I actually came to ask how come you can purchase a Mercenaries upgrade (And I did check this for myself since Training Grounds isn’t fully upgraded) for while shop is closed, but you still need the shop “open” to buy tickets for Arena/Duels with gold despite never interacting with the shop at all during the transaction? Surely they can change this.

Arent merc upgrades purchased only with gold? I assume it’s the systems that have to process real-world money that are at issue, and that those systems are shared between game platforms, and hence why it’s not just the Hearthstone team who may need to be involved in resolving it.

They asked for Android logs, but I wouldn’t assume anything from that. Android HS has its own problems.

Hello i try your solution, downloading visual studio and installing and…

NO WORK

SHOP CONTINUES CLOSED.

You may be missing another C++ Visual Studio x86\64 package

Nearly three weeks of shop closed, half a dozen tickets to support, daily searching Google, Reddit, Blizzard for a solution, reinstalled the game and still can’t arena… until today!
A big thank-you my friend, hope you have an awesome day!
(I’ll probably get destroyed in my first arena run and wondered why I bothered lol)!

That worked for me. Thank you.

This worked for me as well. A big thank you to Advantage for figuring this out! Looks like problem solving is just going to be left to the customers of Blizzard products rather than the coders and tech support who actually work there. Sign of the times I guess.

*I have fixed this issue
Some functions of “Hearthstone” run on the 25.2.1 version of the programming store, which requires Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022.
According to my past experience, installing a graphics card or motherboard driver will also install VC,But in the past only installing the NVIDIA driver worked fine.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
/learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
(install X86 and X64 versions at the same time)
X86 version: aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
X64 version: aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

If you still can’t solve it, please try the following steps

  • Checklist of items

1.Windows update.
2.Date and time correction.
3.Update the network and independent graphics card drivers.
4.Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015~2022 X86 and X64, need to be installed at the same time).
5.Delete the appdata Blizzard cache folder.
6.Reinstall the game to scan and repair.
7.Hearthstone application enable firewall.
8.Replace the network test or temporarily close the anti-virus software.

I am very angry about this problem.
@ LangleyAsuka

Help me pls! I don’t know how to start from where. Thanks before!

My suggestion is not to install MSVC2015 only, please refer to my previous reply (including Microsoft’s official download point), and install X86 and X64 versions at the same time.

Thing is, this problem should have been resolved by reinstalling HS. Blizzard still has a problem they need to fix, just in the installer or updater, rather than the client or servers.

They chose to use inheritance to include external component methods. If the customer has not installed MSVC compatibility issues will cause errors, reinstalling the game now has no effect.

If officials are going to fix this, game development includes a way to install libraries in client game data, they are currently investigating.
