no… all threads from last week are still in the forums. you can go back and check. search the “rogues are weak threads.” Source your argument… I’ll like double “druids are weak” threads in a reply.
Same for “Sorc is OP” vs “Barb is weak” threads. Those were both in the same week.
Or rather, “Necro is OP” and “Druid is weak.” Both this week. Also different scaling classes.
I think with some tuning to both items and skills the item/skill balance can be achieved… lack of options may be corrected in launch or paragon boards (we only got to play to 25 and no paragon points)
edit: i don’t actually expect this to happen, but it CAN be done
Yea, I understand that legendary aspect isn’t needed for a viable build, but thats looking at it from a very casual player aspect. Like with any gamesense, we would want to have an efficient build as we level, and they way they are doing the legendary aspect tying it with certain skills, it forces us to build a certain way. Maybe if they made the Legendary aspects on items to be more generic so it can be applied to most skills, it will help in diversifying the number of builds we can play. Correct me if I am wrong. And leave the skill specific affixes on the skill tree?
That’s like saying you need a full 6-piece class set to level up and beat the campaign in Diablo 3.
I get that people who spent a lot of time on D3 might enjoy that, because D3 is a sandbox arcade game, but it’s really an extreme outlier in terms of what Diablo is or was or what people are looking for from it.
there’s lots of things I hope they adjust… but I like the game better than d3, and I still own that, so I’ll play this one too. it isn’t what I expected from dev blogs, updates and interviews… based on beta (not fair to judge the game on an old version of the first 20% of the game) I will not get expansions, but i could still be won over.
A lot more people complained about druid than about rogue. And they had MORE time to complain about rogue because there were 2 weeks of rogue beta and 1 week of druid beta.
I searched within one day timeframe, and this beta this weekend had probably more than 3x as many participants than last week. The point is that everyone complained about Rogue being weak, and if you’re going to deny that reality then you’re not arguing with any sort of good faith.
Likes have everything to do with perception. Likes mean people agree with said comment or feedback. We literally do psychological scientific research entirely based on what people agree on, or what they say they like on a survey.
I’m not even arguing here. I just gave you data on thread trends. You can ignore it or spin it all you want, it’s raw data.
So as you are leveling up, and you find a legendary that gives a boost to a skill that you didnt intend to start out with. Logically, you would change your skills to suit the legendary for leveling efficiency, as changing skill is cheaper at lower levels and also its definitely an advantage over a full set of rares that you might be having. As I mentioned, its not that you need the legendaries to complete the campaign, But it about efficiency.
But I would rather they give an generic aspect on items and leave the skill based modifiers in the skill tree. Hence, like the items that says “Basic Attack gains 10-30% attack speed.” is good as it allows me to play any type of basic attack. Rather than Fire Bolt gains 30% attack speed. And it forces me to use fire bolt.
Or it could even be like Poison is applied to Vulnerable enemies when hit by your core skill for 1000 dmg over 5 seconds (Rogue Only). Which the poison dmg could be improved if I pump into the talent that +3% more poison dmg on my skill tree.
