My main account (Yoder#11791) was suspended for 6 months for the claim that I was using a third party program even though I wasn’t. I already submitted 2 tickets and am waiting for a response so in the meantime I want to see who else this happened to. Blizzard stated that they’re going to be harder on 3rd party program users and multiboxers so it’s completely reasonable to believe that their new detection code picked up several false positives. I saw on the forums 2 other posts (that are now locked) that several other people were also wrongly banned just in time for shadowlands launch so if you are as irate as I am that I cannot play shadowlands with my friends on launch because of blizzards shotty anti-cheat detection, come say hi. The more of us that speak out the less the problem can be ignored.
To clarify, they’re not being harder on multiboxers. Multiboxing is still allowed. What isn’t allowed is using Input Broadcasting Software.
Your only option is to wait on your appeal. Discussing account actions or encouraging others to do so would be a violation of the forum rules.
For real? How is anything that is genuinely blizzards fault supposed to get solved? their ticket system isn’t even something where people can argue their case its just so someone can reaffirm their original findings. If I’m wrongly banned, looking that I was wrongly banned doesn’t even fix anything. Thanks Blizzard.
Coming to the CS forum trying to start some weird army behind you won’t fix anything that won’t fix anything in the long run.
Actually, their appeal system is so that a new person can have a look over the data the resulted in the account action to see if it was in error. It’s not so that they can simply reaffirm the original findings. If that were the case, they simply wouldn’t allow for appeals.
No, that isn’t what our appeal process is for. It isn’t a court of law, you don’t present evidence and witnesses. If you believe a mistake was made submit an appeal. The original action will be reviewed and verified.
So if I get wrongly banned, send an appeal (I’ve sent one and am waiting.) and you all still decide to ban me but I did not do anything wrong, then whats the next step.
i have 2 accounts under 1 log on
i have a warr carrots and a pally peas
i never use the same keyboard/mouse or any type of downloaded software not from blizz
maybe you should do the same?
i have other accounts but using 3 or 4 keyboards/mice at the same time u have to be leet
hi i cant play shawdowlands am i gettin ban for mutiboxing?

Shouldn’t you do that to begin with?? Before banning the accounts?
Also have a friend going through this right now. Accused of botting, when he barely uses addons. If it were true I could understand, but it isn’t. You guys have a problem and you won’t admit it; you’re locking threads instead.
I think you’re misunderstanding how it works. Yes, they have already reviewed the data that lead to the ban. Upon appeal, a new set of eyes look at the data to make sure a mistake wasn’t made (they’re human afterall).
What problem would that be? Wanting to keep their game clear of those violating the rules is a good thing. Allowing for appeals is also a good thing.
Pointing fingers, willy-nilly won’t win anyone over as the blues here isn’t going to find you on the topic as their job to ensure the forum isn’t flooded with nonsense.
Normally I’m all for giving Blizz the crap they deserve, but you’re being silly. Read the ToS, this isn’t some sort of government. You are choosing to pay Blizz for whatever service they choose to render to you. The next step is finding a different game to be mad about.
That’s not conducive to making money. They are a business aren’t they? You wouldn’t want to kick people who are giving you money unless you have a very good reason to. Again, if it were true -sure. But in this case I know firsthand that it’s a mistake. And others are posting of mistakes too. Therefore whatever new system they have to sniff out bots isn’t working. They should be seeing this by now, not sweeping it under the rug is all I’m saying. I don’t think this is silly in any way at all.
What kind of world do you live in where you feel like people aren’t entitled to the right to be upset for having several hundreds of hours and dollar investments pretty much flushed down the toilet because of a flawed system? If Blizzard has a problem with what is clearly a new automated system for detecting input broadcasting software, the customers 1000% have a right to be upset and go to the forums about it – that is what they are for. Especially if the amount of innocent victims is sizeable enough to indicate a false positive situation.

Thank you for speaking out friend!
In addition, the friend has already been denied 2 appeals, he has already deleted the client=(
is GSE 1button spam bannable on mutiboxin?
Yeah…Same thing happened to me…
I’m an Altaholic…I have several sub accounts
on my main battlenet account…
5 of my subaccounts were suspended FOR 6 MONTHS
while running the IceCrown Alt catch-up…
Obviously their Bot Detection algorithms are seriously amiss…
Been playing for 15 years/have always maintained multiple accounts…
spent thousands of dollars on subs and services…
NEVER BOTTED…
And Blizzard Customer Service is horrible.
dead end after dead end…
I guess they don’t want my money anymore.
