Just so ya’ know, no amount of posting will change anything as a blue can easily delete the thread and hand out form account actions.

Asking them to clarify is having my head in the sand? Uh, okay.

You’re a player just like me, what’s the answer to their question?

Some well crafted correspondences to Corporate from
veteran players who spend hundreds, if
not thousands of $$$ annually playing this game…
might help.
ATVI doesn’t want to see its share value halved again, as it went
last year…

I just got pinned for an ‘inappropriate and or offensive’ post, for one of the posts I’ve made about this False-Positive-Bot issue…all of which have been civilized…
My comment is currently invisible and under review…lmao…
This company is unreal.

Your response combined with your wink, implied a disregard for the topic at hand. As in why would i reply to this ? When you clearly already have responded. When someone made sense, now you have no response and act like you don’t understand what the problem is or why in the world you would respond. IE You’re response was sarcastic. This topic is more than valid.

I don’t do that…I play two toons, sometimes with two comps and two keyboards/ no software involved…
But I think what you just described does qualify as something they NOW don’t allow.

I’m not familiar with GSE. Basically, Blizz doesn’t support or approve any third-party software or addons.

The only thing that they’ve stated with regards to multiboxing is that you’re no longer allowed to use any Input Broadcasting Software.

Hardware multiboxing has not been specified as being against the rules. So things like KVM switches or wireless mice/keyboards with multiple wireless receivers would seem to still be allowed.

I had something like that happen to me years ago. I try to appeal it like 3 times and nothing. Finally I decided to call them to get this issue fixed and they reverted the ban. But when I asked them why I got banned in the first place, they told me that they have an automated system and it was easier and better for them to just ban any suspicious activities and have the wrongfully banned players to appeal their cases and sent me off with 2 months of free game time.

They aren’t even doing phone calls right now because of covid so I’m just at their mercy at the moment.

They don’t take appeals over the phone.

This does not seem accurate at all.

  1. They don’t allow appeals via phone ever. Never have. You have to circumvent the system to get a live person then spring the appeal on them. They are supposed to refer you back to the ticket system.

  2. While they DO use software that scans large batches of accounts at once for programmed violations, much like a virus scanner, they do validate results manually before running that software.

  3. Any time you appeal a real person looks at the logs and results.

  4. There ARE times false positives occur. People do make mistakes. It happens. Blizz has reversed bans before, even batch bans, after realizing there was an issue.

The idea that the whole system is automated though is not accurate.

Yes, I have been mistakenly suspended before and I know how it feels. You ask how in the heck a real person could even make that mistake. They do though - and sometimes virus scanners (cheat scanners) have false positives that have to be resolved. That sounds like what happened to you.

Blizzard has NEVER allowed appeals via phone. As was said, it is not a court of law where you argue your case. Either the logs back your suspension or they don’t.

Usually you can set up a phone callback or live chat, but there is no call in number, all support is done through the support site.

But it is good advise to appeal, by web ticket, until you are advised not to.

Well, I’m telling this how it happened. I think this happened to me in the Mist of Pandaria xpac. I don’t know how I got there but all I know I ended up chatting with some one over the phone and that is how it was solved and that is exactly what they told me when I asked them why I was banned. If you don’t want to believe that is not my problem, believe what you want.

i just dont whant to get banned for mulitboxin

No, we understand false positives happen - that’s the whole reason for the appeals process.

But each time an appeal is submitted, it’s a fresh set of eyes going over things.

But we do find it hard to believe anyone has spoken to Blizzard via phone to have a ban lifted. In 10 years on this forum, I’ve never heard of that happening. Those who are responsible for account actions are not contactable via phone. Only web ticket.
