Thatâs fair. However, I think itâs important to acknowledge that that silence didnât come from normalizing LGBTQ+ communities and just making it seem like part of the world, but because up until recently, direct acknowledgements of homosexuality didnât exist in the game at all, so what people are taking as a positive actually derived from a negative. Naturally, you cannot talk about homophobia in a game if homosexuality didnât exist to begin with, but the fact that it didnât really exist prior to LGBTQ+ positive stories becoming more normalized tells me that perhaps that silence speaks a bit louder than they give credit for.
Itâs great that we can hijack that silence and interpret it as something else, but in my mind, thereâs no ignoring that.

Well you kind of have to because otherwise your arguments wouldnât exactly make sense if your being neither âHomophobia doesnât existâ and âhomophobia does existâ positions here.
Plus, you kind of already taken a side by disagreeing with people who said that homophobia isnât canon, and yet you provide no evidence that supports your agruments.
âŚWhy do you need an explicit statement against homophobia? Canât you just figure out that since nobody has a problem with LGBTQ+ characters, and thereâs LGBTQ+ characters well doumented on WoWhead, that means there isnât any homophobia going on?

You do know WoW is fantasy, right? It doesnât have to follow the same rules as real life. Infact, it often doesnât. It can just have gay people and have them be treated fairly or just like staright people with no homophobia. Thatâs like the best sort of inclusion you can ever do. Infact, this is also the same game where you can swap genders willy nilly with the barbershop. Gender just sort of exists now.

Steve Danuser is literally god in regards to Warcraft lore. He doesnât need to write it down for it to be so. There are no instances of homophobia in Warcraft lore, so it doesnât exist. Youâd need to provide an example of it happening to showcase its existence.
Do you have an example of where homophobia existed in Warcraft?

Itâs really telling that people like Rudly doesnât count NPCâs like those and think it has never existed before, despite all the evidence given to them, and despite the fact that the lead narrative designer is literally against homophobia, their still able to go⌠âWell⌠nuh-uhâŚâ
And iâm over here wondering what is there to be gained about this?..
Blizzard, as well Tulln and the rest of the âFake progressivesâ, have some severely messed up priorities and also has a tendency to side with radical capitalism.
