Ultimate Elf Compromise

No! You stupid blueberry elves need fewer high elf options, not more. Just stop already. You’re not high elves.

Those don’t work on Sundays.

We’ll just have to ride this one out until the morning.

For the record, I also have max level Blood Elves, you need to stop acting as if you personally are a character in a video game, it’s childish, ignorant, and honestly borders on the irrational.

It’s a fictional race, in a video game, get over yourself.

No.

You only say “acting in good faith” because he doesn’t mention anything related to high elves, he mentions things in relation to more Void customizations.

The reason I excluded hair color, is because BEs get indignant over the idea of VEs getting anything that they had, or that borders on natural colors.

Although I personally believe, given their lore all base HE stuff should essentially be neutral, while adding more distinctive themes to BE with Fel or Light for instance, to add a distinction.

It’s not a new idea though. These threads have been popping up all over the place, especially by Void Elves wanting to advocate for High/Blood Elves instead of being what they are - Void Elves.

Like seriously, there are so many of these threads, they may not all be identical but they’re certainly on the same subject - It’s like a weekly disease that comes through town. Sure I’d love new customisations on each side, but I do not think they should be identical.

ofc they do :joy:

this is what they do. gaslight and spam just have to hope mods do something

The Species of Thalassian Elf is largely on both sides, with that identical appearance. They honestly make more sense to be identical or share similar base things such as hair styles, then the Pandaren did to be a neutral species. Based on the lore alone.

But to be clear VEs are HEs and BEs. It is what they are, and honestly it doesn’t matter if my suggestions now aren’t the “newest” I have every right to make a post and advocate for what I’d like to see. If it bothers you that much, or you dislike it that much, then don’t open threads with titles that relate to that.

You’ve edited your post like 3 times now. But blue eyes have largely denoted High Elves, while Green were for Blood Elves. Giving them the eye color was kind of a slap in the face to the Alliance. To be fair.

The thread should not have been flagged. Hopefully mods restore it.

I think all races that have only gotten one pass should receive a second pass and it should have as much care and passion as was put in to Night Elves and Humans. I think this is a fair and modest ask.

Races that have already gotten two passes need to go to the back of the line and wait their turn. I think this is a fair and modest ask.

Finally all races should have scars and tattoos. Full stop.

A rose by any other name will smell as sweet.

What about those poor Worgen who still don’t have tails. And, alas, we still can’t /pull them.

strongly disagree here. avarie is the only one holding that card. i know they wanted ‘high elves’ but also i know how they got them has soured what should have been a good thing for them

You have no idea what gaslighting means, and it clearly shows.

I think you mean the most recent of Nightborne, not Night Elves. But I agree with your most recent statement, that all races deserve more care and passion for options.

its the only thing you guys can do

spam the same thing often enough and loud enough and that big lie will eventually become part of the thinking and understanding of the mass audience(gaslighting)

for example, “high elves are alliance and have MAJOR roles” when in actuality there are only a few individuals and they are always getting mistaken for blood elves by the alliance populations and one story where dalaran temporarily picked a side. i can even point to a dev stating that there IS only a couple and that they arent even out there supporting the alliance like the void elves and that if you want to play a high elf that is a blood elf

They aren’t a void elf though. They’re a night elf. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is fake news. It is known that even the Silver Covenant is a larger faction the Void Elves. Which is allied with the Alliance, along with the High Elves of the Kirin Tor Offensive. The Allerian Stronghold, etc.

Even the High Elves in Legion are allied with the Alliance. Their entire race is cannoncially tied to the Allaince.

im not getting baited. have fun ive said my piece

Based on the lore alone - They don’t make more sense to be identical though. Similarities yes. Identical - no. The Blood Elves having features such as the holy eyes makes sense with the nature of the Sunwell and them being able to saturate in the light further so via tapping into those energies, much like the Void Elves having void aesthetics with the artifact that changed their physiology on a cosmic scale.

No, it’s not what the Void Elves are - not anymore, because Void Elves were cosmically changed on a drastic scale as stated - they’re no longer High Elves or Blood Elves.

Blood Elves & High Elves can be eachother because the name difference is moreorless political / to respect the fallen against Arthas.

On the case of Void Elves they were dubbed a new people on the changes that incurred to them. They’re no longer more High Elves than the Dark Trolls are Night Elves or that the Nightborne are Night Elves.

There should be a handful of features that should be used hand-in-hand given they came from the same people and culture. Such as the hairstyles, faces, maybe some of the jewelry as well - but certainly not all of the features.
