The trade itself is not triggering bans/actions. The gold being moved is, or the account that traded you was stolen and is being used as a mule.
The trade is fine between legit players. It is just unsupported and if you get scammed you won’t be able to submit a ticket for help.
Know where your gold is coming from if you choose to take this path.
