I heard a rumor that the division that monitors for illegal gameplay has been (or is going to be) outsourced to a third party vendor. I find this extremely hard to believe, but I figured the folks in this forum would know for sure and would be able to quickly squash this nonsense. (This was related to the recent wave of Hearthstone botting bans, not WoW, but the knowledgeable people here usually know best about this sort of thing).
I doubt you’ll hear anything “official,” as Blizz rarely talks about their methods for detecting cheating.

I have no idea what orifice that came from - but you need to consider sources of information.
Was there a Hearthstone ban recently? Yes, a sizeable one.
That was us.

No doubt. That’s why I came to a better orifice.
The notion seemed rather absurd, but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the confirmation.

Yes it is obdusurde. Doubt they would ever let a 3rd party into their system.
Sure they do use ai and other software to detect cheating. No that does not ban your accout but it flaggs the information for human review.
