Simple question. Who is Classic WoW made for. Here is the list.
I don’t play retail. I subbed for Classic WoW. I hate 1.12 AV.
I’m hoping TBC comes next. Classic+ in the least. 1.12 AV is perfect.
I want WotLK. I am going to play whatever comes until then. Fingers crossed. Don’t derail this choo choo. 1.12 AV is good if Blizzard says so.
I love Modern WoW. Yeah, being a Classic WoW player is a facade, but one I am willing to fake to have someone to play with. Shadowlands, amiright bois?
I love Blizzard. I own Blizzard socks, shoes, underpants, and pajamas. 1.12 AV is is what Blizzard chose to give, and Blizzard is never wrong. You don’t want to make me mad.
1.12 av is an abomination. the zerg meta is garbage. you shouldnt be able to rush to the end clear warmasters out and kill the end boss before even capping a single graveyard or tower.
I played 2005-2008, came back mid Legion. I think the modern version of the game has strengths, but also significant weaknesses, and it just is not the game it used to be. I haven’t spent more than 5 minutes on all my BFA characters combined since classic launched. I’ll play classic for as long as I enjoy it, but I have no intention of rolling into a tbc or classic+ server. I probably will play shadowlands when it launches or whenever I get tired of classic.
This was never supposed to be my forever mmorpg. I’ll play it as long as I enjoy it and be glad I had the opportunity.
I’m hoping TBC comes next. Classic+ in the least. 1.12 AV is Meh, I never cared much for it, but did stay away after my first AV ever lasted 8 hours as it was such little gains.I want WotLK too. I am going to play whatever comes until then except for current live expanded WoW. Fingers crossed. Don’t derail this choo choo.
don’t play retail. don’t care enough about av to have an opinion one way or the other. i’ve had enough av experiences for a life time.
never loved it. had some really amazing times there but no version of it really did it for me. back capping is tedious - albeit some good pvp can come from tower battles
I fall into #3. I imagine that Blizzard made WoW Classic for all of the above, but I honestly don’t think AV factored into their thinking one way or the other. The amount of QQ over AV is shocking to me, frankly.
I am hoping TBC Classic comes next. I am dreading 3.4 TBC Classic, but know hoping for anything better is doomed.
Classic+ would be the end of my interest, full stop. I don’t want Retail Redux, vanilla remade for the whiners.
1.12 AV is all wrong. PvP is not why I played WOW. PvP almost made me quit WOW in July or August 2006 before I discovered PvE and RP-PvE realms. The version of AV doesn’t really impact my ability to enjoy WOW Classic.
So … WOW Classic fits me fine right now. I’m on 4 months, a dozen alts, highest two are over 40 now and third is getting close. I don’t fit in your phony list.
I’m just going to say, it is not surprising that a Modern WoW lover is incapable of the simplest logic and the simplest associative reasoning. Let me spell this out for you.
I hope the OP recognizes how many options they left out at this point. (They didn’t even mention separate servers!)
If anyone’s curious, my version of one of the OP’s bullet points would be:
I don’t play Modern. I subscribed for Classic. I would also like separate BC servers…and WotLK ones, though I would mostly play BC. 1.12 AV is unfortunate, but I never really cared about PvP. If Blizzard announced that Classic was dead and they now had two versions of WoW they updated as they saw fit–otherwise known as “Classic+”–I would quit playing. If the entire game was updated to BC, I would quit playing because the logical implication of that would be that we would be at Bfa in ten years again. Since I already have the subscription, I’ll probably be curious enough to check out what changes they make to the lower level areas for Shadowlands for a week or so…maybe…maybe not, I’d have to update Modern then.
