Once again, punishes casual players!

As I stated, from here, glhf.

The eternal reply of an argument lost. You had the two key ingredients.

  1. Ad hominem
  2. The hasty withdrawal marketed as something else.

Edit: also, where have I whined?
Edit 2: I don’t get the name calling either. I’ve disagreed with you without resorting to such.

I don’t see why they are so against casuals having good gear. The best players will still play better and do more damage. There is no need to compound the advantage.

If they want the game to be more esportsy, everyone should have access to good gear imo.

Casuals don’t need “good gear” to survive doing casual content. This is basically gear envy and FOMO.

We are getting 40 more renown levels in 9.1. I am sure the cov gear will be upgradable.

And yes, I am a filthy casual.

Define good gear, and what ilvl is said gear?

And define what a casual is in your terms please

Bro, this is the rogue who claimed he was the only person in the raid to do mechanics on H SLG and got miffed when they removed him for sire for doing 700dps less than the tank despite never dying.

The only way he’ll get KSM is by replying to WTS adverts and pay gold.

I can’t even get into dungeon pugs because my I-level is too low for the powergaming crowd. They don’t want the dead weight. If you sign up again and again and get rejected again and again, you stop trying.

And you missed the point. I don’t want the high end gear. I’m fine with leaving that for the folks who want to grind it. Just don’t introduce a useless currency that’s a reminder of the fact that the devs aren’t paying attention to their whole subscriber base, just the part of the subscriber base that looks most like the devs.

Hit the nail on the head. Too bad Ion is not going to change his way. Elitism all the way to end!

To kill things faster. Why do you think only certain people should have access to higher gear?

Just going to drop this BS here for “reasons”

So why not read all I posted? And you can. Covenant gets you 197, wqs, wb, leg ,table and callings and you are over 200 ez…more than enough to get into a pug. How would I know? Because I did. I do. You don’t start anywhere but the bottom. Not sure how that’s a difficult concept. If you are being rejected, make a group. That’s what I do. That’s what many do. Why are/should you be any different? Want to jump straight into plus 10 at 165? Might be a problem. Apply to a group with the gear and experience, might get declined but much less likely. Dps is overflowing tho. So if that happens, back to run your key.

Lol, ty Adilith, you are awesome!

Sorry OP but… It’s honestly fine.

It’s ok to be mad about it but honestly it’s fine. Yeah it does suck that we need to earn gear all over again to upgrade it - if that’s where you’re at.

I’m not mad about the elitists being more geared - they are hardcore, and have MUCH more free time than I do.

Face the reality - if you have real life commitments, you aren’t going to gear as fast as a cutting edge player - it’s been this way since day 1.

Chill out and realise you’ll gear up a touch slower. Or join the cutting edge crowd - but sacrifice your real life for WoW life. Your choice, and good luck

This just read like sneering elitism, but from “true mmo enthusiasts” but that’s the way of things. People who do content might say “you don’t get to have it until you do what I did” while people who don’t do the content might start insulting the other side by stating their real life conditions must suck to compensate for their in game life.

“we all laugh at you and your silly little ideas, you raging little nerd” type of angry response.

Honestly, I think everyone just takes the word “deserve” too personally. It’s more a pass/fail check than a “filthy casuals don’t get to touch my purples” type deal.

That’s why the analogies always come up for jobs and salaries. Once you put in the time or effort, you “pass” and deserve the monetary compensation you sought. Asking for ceo pay because you’re struggling but offer no relevant skills would be undeserved. But it’s not a slight.

This is what I would have said!

Unpopular opinion, but my opinion: the gear goes up too high.

Maybe so people can get into a group to play the game. You and your kind are ruining the game.

Alts are alternative characters.
If you are aiming for +15: ilvl 210 from dungeon, 226 from the vault.

You want a main.

What if you want to switch mains because of Blizz’s atrocious balancing? Would be cool for it to be quick.

Alt ketchup mechanics should be base ilvl for end content: around 200.
Not 210, 226, etc.
