Has Blizz even addressed AV yet?

I know there are a lot of issues with the map most in the Horde’s favor.

What I am trying to do, is boil the problem down to the simplest and most basic problem for them, so they can see even without all these other issues they still have to face this one problem, if you can’t break this you can not win the game regardless.

Are you high? Multiple people have given you multiple suggestions. it doesn’t matter what we suggest. You will find fault with anything and then cry that AV is impossible for your faction. “I am open to being wrong” GTFO of here. No you aren’t! You’re never wrong in your mind. You literally posted about how there’s a conspiracy against the alliance by Blizzard’s dev team. You’re a frikkin idiot.

I didnt post that there was a conspiracy, I stated that throughout the history of wow, blizz devs have given more advantages to Horde than they have to Alliance.

Also not one of you have given an actual response, you have said things like skip it and when we respond with “what happens when the horde defend and stop that” you say “that doesn’t happen” or “why would they do that”

all of your solutions fail when you just ask “What happens when the Horde plays Defense?”

You’re looking for a silver bullet to all your problems in AV.

There isn’t one.

No matter what strategy you OR THE HORDE try, there is a counter to that strategy. You’re so convinced that because there are possible counters to strategies that people have given you that those strategies must therefore all be impossible. You need to adapt. You need to adjust to what’s happening in the moment. You need to understand that not every assault on every point is going to succeed 100% of the time, and that sometimes you either need to adjust to try something else or you need to keep pushing for more than 30 seconds to break a defense, or you need to better organize. And if that’s too hard for you then I don’t know what else to tell you except enjoy your rep farm and see you on these same forums when you still can’t win in any version of the game.

Cool story…

I currently do not care about any of that because I am trying to make this simple for you, since it appears that complicated thinking is beyond most of the people who claim the map is fine.

In order for the Alliance to have a chance at winning we must get south… In order to do that we must get past the IBGY choke since there is no path that lets us bypass it like there is for the Bridge for the Alliance.

If the Horde choose to play defense on that point they will be reinforced 3x faster than the Alliance…

How does an Alliance team beat that defense, because if you cannot do that then Alliance cannot win the map.

Horde do have a silver bullet… Defend IBGY, push north when not doing that.

So till you can come up with a strategy that beats the strategic genius that is “defend IBGY” you need to admit that on the current map the Alliance can only have a chance to win if the Horde decide to NOT defend.

I will be waiting…

You will be waiting until your dying day, because everything everyone has told you until this point hasn’t been good enough for you. Go find an easier game to play.

I will take it that statement and your previous ones means you realize it cannot be done, but you refuse to admit that you are wrong despite that.

Game has waaaay more than AV rofl.

I cant wait for BC and Arenas so all these horde “pros” are hard stuck at 1800 when im on my way to glad.

When I queue up for an AV, I encourage folks to try to take towers, attack GY’s other than IBGY, and play for other objectives, like Druids and rams. Typically, those suggestions get flamed by 2 or 3 people, and encouraged by 2 or 3 more. Most people want to sit back to try to farm as many HKs as they lazily can while “stealthies move south for lts.” People might start sorta defending once we’re pushed back to the base, but by then, the game’s essentially over and moral is completely bottomed out.

are you sure you have actually played as alliance? If horde goes scorched earth, alliance absolutely cannot win. Scorched earth is absolutely the meta in North America.

This isn’t a Blizzard problem, though. It’s player-created. Blizzard can’t fix stupid.

This will never happen. Crossrealm is the only way to keep battlegrounds alive. Blizzard implemented them for a reason back in the day, and they’re essential. Not having crossrealm battlegrounds will simply kill them in a year or so, once the population thins out.

I see this suggestion a lot in the forums. While I believe it’s presented with the best of intentions, I fear that it’s not as simple as folks think it is. There are many variables at play here. I’ll list some that come to mind:

  • Realm populations are huge compared to Vanilla. There’s already an outcry due to a lack of resources compared to the relative populations
  • Merging 2 “imbalanced” realms with medium or medium-high populations will just encourage queue times when the game popularity is up
  • Merging realms has happened in the form of “connected realms” in retail. The point of Classic was to get away from that
  • Connected realms are essentially “crossrealm,” which is something you’re suggesting we get rid of

Every single AV I’ve played involved a similar strategies that make no sense…

  • Alliance either pile up behind a hill right past IWGY to cap IBGY
  • on the hill outside Balinda’s Bunker to “wipe them at Bal”
  • or at Snowfall GY

It’s quite possible to try to attack other points (FWGY is much easier to defend than IBGY.) Alliance are also void of any defense strategies. Folks only recall to do turn-ins.

How do you send reinforcements from SPGY or best case scenario SHGY all the way to FWGY rofl??

Also horde who die at FWGY trying to retake it still respawn at the horde cave 20 at a time.

Good luck keeping FWGY for 5 minutes before it turns blue.

What a load of rubbish … if we are defending the bridge a loss is around the corner… to defend the bridge we have given up 2 bunkers. The bridge is easily negated

Why do you think Blizzard have tried a few fixes in retail AV … same deal … the map favours horde with IBT/IBGY a massive crutch for their offensive strategy…

That is not at all what he posted. The decisive factor wasn’t any response from his alliance teammates, it was the response from his horde opponents. If alliance soft capped IBGY, horde either mass recalls to take them out OR the horde continue on offense, in which case it becomes a race that alliance can win (according to his estimation) about 30% of the time.

What happens when it turns into a turtle?

The decisive factor over his wins and losses has not been decisions made by his team, but decisions made by the other team.

Scorched earth wasn’t a strategy until reinforcements were introduced in late TBC. Horde were losing the pve race so they just parked their entire team at the IB choke and grinded down reinforcements.

“Actually playing defense and recapping things when needed like a smart team” is not “scorched earth.” The alliance parking their entire team at SH GY is much closer to scorched earth than what the horde do, there just aren’t reinforcements to farm in this version of the game so it’s a fail strat.

Yes the fix was when they made it where AV premades were no longer viable therefore no more scuffing but that was AFTER they made this change so aren’t you feeling dumb now…the scuffing was happening the entire time Discord Premades were viable so don’t be dumb as you say

Which has the following…

We’re fixing a setting that allowed the battleground to start with as few as 20 players on a team.

Showing that it was a SEPARATE bug that let the game start with insufficient players.

“so aren’t you feeling dumb now…”

Nice attempt at rewriting history. Scorched earth in regard to AV is denying the other faction of all bonus honor. It doesn’t matter if you stack stone hearth or iceblood to do it. Same end result - no bonus honor for alliance.

No there point is that “scorched earth” was originally a strategy that means you are retreating so it doesn’t fit with the horde strategy.

They have a hard time grasping complex concepts like evolution of word meanings and nuance.

It is funny to watch them try to rewrite history. If his definition actually applied, any time an alliance rogue or druid made it past iceblood to tap a tower or gy and horde had to defend it was no longer scorched earth. Just lol

I haven’t stepped in AV since February and I won’t be back unless something changes, but these horde AV Gods need to get off their high horse. They’re being carried by a broken map.
