Hello, every post I make is getting mass flagged for no reason. For example, I asked in this thread how to counter Polymorph and it was instantly flagged:
{Link Removed}
This is just one example. If you could review who is harassing me and take appropriate action that would be greatly appreciated.
I am guessing there is a bit more to the story when the name…esp the guild name is
<And His Sock Puppets>
If a post does not actually violate the forum rules, the most others can do is grey it out so it has to be clicked to read it. Otherwise, the mods don’t remove things that don’t break the rules, or are not disruptive in some way.
If others are saying things to you that are against the rules, please be sure to flag them. If you just don’t like them, put them on Ignore.
Edit. I did a very very very quick look at the posts from the past few hours. You seem to say your tactic is to spam the forums? IDK, but maybe that is why folks flag you?
Even if the content of the post is perfectly within the rules, if you’re creating too many threads in a short window or creating too many replies, it may be valid to flag it as spam.
There are no AI review bots. The only moderation done around here, when it is done, is by humans. Usually a tiny handful of them.
The most the forums can do automatically is grey out your post so folks have to click it. It will send you a message telling you that your post is flagged and pending Mod review. They also have some spam filters that operate, mostly to filter out spam bots or similar behavior from new accounts.
What happens AFTER that is all human. The reports/flags were humans too - your fellow posters.
If we had AI bots removing threads or posts some of the horrible stuff that gets posted overnights would not stay up for 12 hours or more. They don’t have that at all though.
Just so you’re made aware, Biebz, the moderation does keep an eye out on who is flagging, and if they notice a pattern by someone or group of people targeting someone or group of people, they will take appropriate action.
Now, with that being said, Customer Support forums are not an avenue in reporting, or to get SFA’s/Moderation to review flags and action people for flagging. Now, if Moderation does notice someone abusing the flag system, such as using alts or accounts to flag a post, then they will deal with it. But they won’t just action people for flagging as it may deter people away from doing the right thing within the forums.
Blizzard can’t take action towards people for what others may do on another platform. It is out of Blizzard jurisdiction.
If you think people are harassing you through via Discord, you’ll need to report it to the Discord and let the Discord team handle it. Blizzard can’t do anything for what happens on Discord.
The whole “there is a conspiracy on some discord out there to get me” is tired. It is rarely if ever true. Nobody really cares enough. Discord is their own platform though and not something Blizzard has any jurisdiction over. Blizzard only cares what happens on their own platforms. Looking at the dozens and dozens of threads you create, and your own admissions, people seem to think you spam.
They have the right to flag anything they think breaks the rules and let the Mods sort it out. Actual humans.
If they switch alts to double flag from the same account, that is considered abusing the reporting system. Unless they are doing that, there is nothing against the rules about reporting you, or your threads.
Maybe you, and your sock puppets? Should take the hint when the Mods do remove your posts or threads and change your posting behavior. Eventually they won’t just remove things, they will suspend you.
And how do you know if those who report your post are there targeting you. How do you exactly know if it a specific group of people reporting you?
Moderation will not just take action for people using the report option to report a post. As stated throughout by Vrakthris, one who does also moderate the forums:
Man…starting to sound like a certain someone. There is no discords that care about anyone else. If your posts are fine (Which judging from what I’m reading here they likely were not) they will stay right where they are. If they are removed then they have violated the rules.
