Harassed on Forums

Either way, the problem is self-inflicted TBH.

How people use their flags is none of your business. Plain and simple. If they feel it is trolling, or inappropriate, they are more than welcome to flag said post for moderator review.

Yeah, as you were saying?

Ok, wish granted!

Spamming or Trolling

This category includes:

  • Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
  • Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
  • Making non-constructive posts
  • Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
  • Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary or permanent ban from the forums, depending upon severity

I don’t know if you think folks have short term memory issues or not, but you can’t speak of being nice to others then the next breath threaten folks.

Probably best to just walk away at this point.

Hypocritical is the one who tells others to “be nice” while making threats. None of us owe you kindness if you’re gonna threaten us with penalties and stuff.

By the way, isn’t making threads like this against the CoC? I’m giving it a read-through and would like a second opinion.

A blue will more than likely lock this thread as soon as they’re available to do so.

I’d suggest we all stop engaging in this thread.

Yes, making threads to discuss account actions/CoC breaking is technically against the rules. However, in the Customer Support Forum, they are tolerated because often times, players are simply looking for answers about what happened, what the next steps are, how to appeal, etc.

When a player is honestly asking a question/seeking clarification, they aren’t going to be actioned for it. It’s when players make these threads just to argue, complain, push agendas, repeat lies/misinformation, troll, etc
that’s when threads will get locked down.

There’s little more I can add that hasn’t already been said, especially since some of it quotes from my previous replies.

I understand it can be frustrating to see your post temporarily hidden, but it really is only that, a temporary hide of the post. There isn’t anything against our policies against a player using their limited daily flags to report a post for potentially violating the forum Code of Conduct.

A post/thread isn’t removed as a result of that flagging unless a Moderator agrees that it violates our Code of Conduct or may otherwise be inappropriate. A post doesn’t necessarily have to violate policy in a way that earns a penalty in order for it to be removed.

Just to put this in blue
there is no such thing as an “AI review bot”.

Yes, we can, but what we see doesn’t necessarily line up with what folks are assuming.

Multiple people thinking that your posts may be a bit trollish isn’t “brigading”, it’s just multiple people seeing the same thing. Not necessarily a conspiracy to silence what you are saying.

I tend to remove posts in this forum that serve more as commentary then help.

It is annoying, certainly, but it isn’t necessarily abuse. A posting character has a limited number of daily flags and they mostly can use them how they wish. If there appears to be abuse going on, we do what we can to dissuade that kind of behavior.

While I appreciate that you don’t believe in that sort of thing, the way you mention it does feel a little threatening and it really doesn’t add anything productive to the conversation.

Just to be clear, the reason several folks aren’t suspended in this forum specifically is because we try to focus on more blatant violations though we may take action when a pattern of unproductive and/or aggressive posts continues. We hope that most folks will realize they are starting to cross a line and take a moment before continuing.
