My channel invites have been blocked since day 1. But when they do invite you, they still get free advertisement because they have their website in the name. “You have blocked a chat invite from AMGGOLDDOTCOM.” Blizz, you really should take care of this. Either dont show the name of the blocked invite or dont let lvl 1’s send chat invites. Its getting ridiculous.

Well see if you just block it and don’t report. It won’t help anything. Agree though a level restriction on creating/inviting to channel should be implemented.

Yes there is, even if you don’t have one, the problem is that there’s no minimum level to do it.

I’ve noticed that it’s been only getting worse. I get like 10-20 invites per day. Always report and ignore…but they keep making new lvl 1’s I guess.

List a single legitimate reason for the invite mechanic that could not be avoided by simply communicating via other existing channels or 3rd party communication.

Level restriction won’t fix the problem. Just don’t show it in our logs. I don’t get auto-declined guild invites in my log. There’s really no reason for this feature to exist. Nobody cares about being invited to chat channels.

I did read it. I have my invites disabled and do not get ANY messages about channels being blocked. If the guys character name is his gold selling website simply report them in game. No need to make another thread on the forums.
Then you’re not getting channel invites. Even when blocked you get a notification in chat.

I honestly feel like Blizzard should just opt everyone out of channel invites by default. If you want to turn them back on, go ahead.
