So today I’ve received 4 channel invites from the same character over the period of 12 hours, all were RCR-ed within 15 secs, clearly Blizzard don’t bother dealing with RCRs so how else can these scum be reported?
Yes, I have channel invites disabled so it’s nothing more than some garbage in the chat log.
The problem isn’t that they’re not getting banned. It’s that there’s so darn many of them. To make matters worse, a large portion of these gold site accounts are actually hacked accounts, so the farmers don’t lose any money when it’s banned. Blizzard is trying though
Add Tokens, problem solved. Don’t have to worry about getting busted/cheated buying gold from shady dealers, Blizz gets more money, shady dealers lose income. Win, win, win!
Classic is a game designed make your hard work pay off and that hard work would be rendered meaningless if you can just buy gold, regardless if it’s Optional or Not. And it’s real awesome to see a game that doesn’t have Microtransactions, from Acti-Blizzard no less (plus Spyro). Also i’m pretty sure Microtransactions are part of the reason why Retail is what it is, and make no mistake, i like both wow versions, but retail would be so much better without Microtransactions. I don’t want them to add Microtransactions cause you couldn’t be bothered to play video games and ruin it for the rest of us.
I dislike Gold sellers as much i dislike Ninja looting or not being able to change my hair color, but you would only create more problems with adding in microtransactions. and last time i check, Classic still requires a retail sub to play. (Not Free to play)
They dont ban them right away because they track the chain of them. Like police do drug dealers. You dont settle for the runner you take them all at once. Hints massive ban waves.
Though in meantime they make 100s of thousands… but so does blizzard when they buy more account keys.
Man, I am doing great tokens or no so it doesn’t matter one way or another if they add them or not. All I am saying as it’s a means to combat gold sellers, legit make money in-game, and turn profits for Blizz. All of which are good things, imo. If you have any better suggestions, let em rip taterchip, I am all ears.
Blizzard has the money to do that, and plus that would be more inline with Classic; have more GM’s out and about. Or maybe go atfer the gold seller’s websites and sue them, setting a presidence saying “this isn’t okay anymore” and keep logs of the gold sellers who say shady things and what not, keep some logs of seeing the amount of gold the players got, where it’s from, how much, when/who/where they got it from, etc. and more harsher punishments for people who sell and/or buy illegal gold.
I know that sounds like work, but i rather they do that then just do a band-aid fix and just add in MTX to “deter gold sellers” which… knowing them, it just sounds like…“gold selling is bad, so buy our gold!”.
Okay. See these are good ideas and frankly, I’d love to see a stronger GM presence in-game as well. I would love for them to seriously crack down on cheaters, gold sellers, and griefers, but I don’t know if they will. It’s all about the bottom line these days.
i heard mages could solo farm BRD to get ~150g per hour
those prices are dumb
also, blizzard doesn’t have the manpower to offer actual human oversight to the servers
but they do somehow have the manpower to offer actual human oversight to the streamers and to investigate people who layer-hopped in dungeons/raids
