They know. Their issue is it still shows up in chat. Omegalul. I know.
They don’t want to help by reporting. They won’t /ignore. So all I see is complaining. Just to complain.
Think maybe paid inflammatory posters to cause dissent?
Yeah, no. If you are invited to a channel and you have invites blocked, you get a 3 line notification in your chat, complete with the goldselling website address that you wanted to not see.
Even worse is that this isn’t a vanilla feature. Back in the day you would simply ask your guild to join whatever chat channels you wanted whether they were tanks or healers or guild mages. They can just disable this with ease and the overwhelming majority of the community wont care.
Instead this is an ‘unimportant issue’. Basically gold sellers get easy advertising for awhile until they’re banned. And perhaps a year from now after the gold sellers are well established blizzard will try to introduce the WoW token again to fix the ‘problem’.
What’s the proper way to report these gold sellers? I usually report them as “cheating“ and in the comments I say “gold seller”.
Does anyone knows if this is good enough?
“Don’t want to be annoyed by gold sellers? Just pretend they don’t exist while they spam your chat box.” Oh that’s real genius. The pop up and the chat is just as annoying. Especially since this problem is over 2 months old and blizzard hasn’t fixed this easily fixable problem.
