Buff cap and hidden auras

You guys are all defeatist nutjobs if you really think they would go through the trouble of talking publicly about a bug if they’re not already actively working on fixing it.

You’re also VASTLY overestimating how many man hours and resources the firm is devoting to addressing bugs if you think it’s reasonable for something this complex to be fixed in even a matter of weeks.

They are making a lot of money from this title. They should have the workforce to fix gamebreaking bugs in a reasonable timeframe.

part of a community manager’s job is to communicate with the community and relay information to them - not every employee is assigned to dev work

This bug means that all the gear I farmed and enchanted in order to make my character stronger (core value in RPGs) actually makes my character weaker (antithetical to RPGs). Now, in order to progress my character’s strength, I need to go and re-farm all the gear that I have already farmed and enchanted so that I can wear it unenchanted, which is a huge waste of time and once again antithetical to an RPG.

Seriously, this is pathetic.

Bruh, how is this still not fixed, sick of losing songflower/ony buff before i even get to luci, having to pop fewer consumes to attempt to keep them on, and having to macro cancel auras into all my buttons to remove useless buffs

Can we get a Blue response on this? Last we heard was that you identified three bugs and had potential fixes. Nearly a month later the bugs persist, what’s going on? With Dire Maul coming out on Tuesday, that adds 3 more World Buffs into the mix - we’re not even going to be able to use consumables at this point if we want to keep our buffs.

A month later and I still lose world buffs when I MCP, pre HoT, and enrage. How sloppy you must have to be to even launch with this bug is beyond me, I will not be resubbing until this is fixed.

In my circle of friends/guild members we have started to refer to this “server” as a clown server.

This is really no different than many other private servers who all have their issues and bugs at launch. This one however costs 15 dollars a month to play lol.

Private servers had scripting issues because they didn’t know how some things worked. However, buffs worked, vanish worked, feign death worked, pets worked better, etc.

Classic is the best scripted, most shoddily programmed “fun server” I’ve been on.

Glad I get to lose my world buffs randomly because I received fear ward, PW:S and rejuv.

This needs to be top priority, literally dont want to get better gear or enchants…making me not even wanting to play the game.

With scheduled maintenance earlier today, we applied the following hotfix:

WoW Classic

  • Enchantments on gear should no longer count as helpful auras. They now count as passive auras.

There are still some enchantments occupying helpful slots – notably, the Arcanum enchants that will come from Dire Maul and other enchantments that are applied via item rather than via the enchanting profession. This was the case in our 1.12 reference.
