They can be against tos, they can also not be. Usually the ones that have host cut/org cut are 100% breaking tos, not the run it self, but will break tos with profits when they sell it for real currency. But it’s safe to blanket report them for spam and rmt.

No but if your straight up advertising for GDKP then yes hence why they got suspensions and why it wont be overturned as there is clear evidence.
should it be? yes because some people DO buy gold from bots and in turn it’s just supporting bots/buying gold illegally which is against ToS. either way idc though i dont do GDKP i don’t buy gold either so doesn’t really bother me and it aint my job to look out for bots/gold buyers thats what the devs should be doing not me.

Advertising in the wrong channel for anything is against the rules. that isn’t a GDKP exclusive rule.
and no GDKPs should not be banned because of a FEW bad apples.

Didn’t a blue post just confirm GDKP are not against TOS? Debate is over.
In a nutshell, GDKP is allowed and advertisements for such runs should be in trade chat not LFG chat.
Continue fighting for Blizzard to change their stance, but for people who are reporting GDKPs are just trolls.

Reporting a GDKP advertisement for having gold buyers in the group isnt false reporting.

Historically the severity of punishment has never been a good method of preventing bad behavior. Per my last comment fear of punishment means assuming you’re going to be caught.

GDKPs are fine.
That does not say GDKP’s are fine. They say it’s tos violation to lfm for gdkp on a character that isnt participating, and it also says if you get reported they wont do anything about it.
It says we’re turning a blind eye to players spam reporting GDKP, and we won’t enforce false flags agaisnt them. We can let servers that don’t like this activivty ban it without us lifting a finger.
So if you post on your main account or character that’s participating you can get auto banned. If you post on an alt, or alt account you can just get an actual ban.
In short they said it’s open season on gdkp reporting.

How to get your account reported, and if going against any of the rules, actioned…
- Annoy your realm mates with frequency.
1a. This can be spam - no matter where it’s put. - Advertise in the wrong places.
2a. Various channels have a purpose - this matters no matter what the advertisement happens to be. - Advertise outside sources of communication.
3a. Discord, websites, etc. - this is against policy. - Advertise on a low level character or cross-realm.
4a. Policy says the character has to be participating in the run or at the very least ABLE to participate in the run (server/level)
Any of those things can get you reported - and actioned if you run afoul of policy.
Gold only, means gold only, not services.
