All of this could have been so easily avoided

That’s give or take 3,240$ not including the expansions, or any other purchases through the store. A lot of money for one game.

It’s not about the mount you need to grasp the concept of good communication between developers and their communities.

seeing all the butthurt from people upset about mount threads make me want to make a new one once or twice a week for the rest of the season.

who really cares? its not like raiders wont be selling runs to get their “exclusive” mounts and titles anyway. they dont need exclusives if that is how they treat them.

a reason to keep blizzard employees employed. They have to produce something and raids dont attract enough customers.

That’s really what bugged me the most.

This was only addressed because Peppermint wanted calcification.

Imagine if this thing went live with the words “any” and it didn’t include LFR. It’d be worse than it is now.

what devalues your effort(assuming you actually did any) is you selling runs to people for gold. Stop prostituting our your rewards and we might take you seriously when you start crying about someone else getting rewards.

IMO, you’ve done nothing to solve that problem yourself. Further, for someone that wants to talk about how ‘easy’ it is and how people should work on improving themselves… You have a lot of that to do yourself instead of ‘posting on the forums’. So many grey and green parses to start off with, not to mention no pugs! All guild runs. Imagine that, you got your quick and easy premade group from your guild which is basically the same as queueing for content. You didn’t have any hassle of trying to pug - which generally want you to have better gear than the content drops as well as AOTC or mythic achievements.

So you want them to… pug M+, which shares the same issues as trying to pug normal raids?

Those who aim to clear normal raid do care, that’s gonna be their only reward for it that’s not totally overpowered by m+, even mroe in a season with uncapped valor off the start.

And again, if your argument is people can boost them, everything can be boosted, are you suggesting that it’s a good argument to have all pvp, m+ and raid reward all available on their lowest difficulties?

These guys stir the pot and tell their sheep what to be mad about, so they come to the forums with manufactured outrage in an attempt to hop on the latest grievance bandwagon. It’s stupid.

This is all they should do, and there is no implication of side choosing. Thinking that there is just shows how much some people like to think they’re the victim of something.

You aren’t owed an apology and even if you got one it wouldn’t matter. The fake manufactured outrage would just be renewed and people would still take your position, that “Blizzard hates casuals and are on the side of bullies,” whatever the hell that means.

Do the raids. Get your mount.

They could’ve made different colored slime cat mounts for the different tiers of raids, so people would know which raid you cleared to get the mount. That being said, I personally don’t care if it’s in LFR or not as I rarely raid so the exclusion of the mount in LFR doesn’t affect me.

Exactly and it blows my mind to see people defending blizzard. Nobody was batting an eyelid when everyone just assumed it was in lfr as well. But the second they take it out and everyone gets upset people start saying negative things about it being in lfr. They hate on lfr just because they can at this point.

i dont sell runs and i never did

also i love how you say Zereth Mortis is a money grab, like just quit the game and move on

these people dont care, they will continue to move the goalposts with meaningless excuses so they can keep complaining instead of putting in the effort to get something they want. theyre not interested in that, they are interested in being passively fed little tiny morsels of dopamine while they do nothing and if they dont they will throw a hissy fit like a child

I dont get this narrative that Blizzard baited people into subbing for a mount that a few people say looks bad ( different areas of social media) for a season of updated Raid, mythic +, and pvp content to avoid a 4 month drought.

That sounds like pure bs.

“blizzard hates casuals” even though the 85% of the game and patches are doable while watching netflix

I mentioned that the mount was part of LFR 2 weeks before the actual patch but nobody care, at that point a lot of players thought it was available via LFR and the actual issue was being removed content for new players…

They had the choice of making the mount available solely for completing WQ’s or some other form of content and could have left premade raids entirely alone this patch. Is there a rule somewhere that there needed to be an extra carrot for those players in this patch? Didn’t Blizzard already release an AOTC reward in 9.2? Players understandably view this as a continuation of rewarding a specific type of customer at the expense of other paying customers.

Because it gives four months of content for people who care about that stuff – which is four months of subs.
