One problem might be that they never thought slime cat would create such a big stink. The thing is so dirt ugly it almost seems as though it was made for a joke, I mean really who would want the thing?

It’s almost impressive how badly they botched this. A customer service rep at any other company could have managed it better.
No they knew it would create an uproar. It actively said on any difficulty for 3 months. It got plenty of people excited to have their time and effort in lfr rewarded with a cat mount that they more than likely voted for in the poll that happened. Now they can’t get it.
This is all they have to do. And yet they are doing nothing but letting it boil over. It’s gonna become a massive headache to them if they don’t put it in lfr. Blizzard continues to make poor decisions and I’m more than happy to see them get burnt for them. They somehow haven’t learned that they need to respect all of the players not just the top 5%
I am never going to get this mount, it’s day 2, and have been declined all day again(not using this char, my main is a different class). Friendship runs are nowhere to be seen and just as I expected, you have to literally be friends with these people to get the help, I mean dang I couldn’t even get invited to a yolo run that stated it didn’t matter what ilvl or class you were!
They should just add it back to LFR, it was never meant to be prestigious and for those who desire prestigious things, you have far more than enough, probably too much.
The fact that a blue still hasn’t responded to this mess is also disgusting and disgraceful. @blizzard, time to reply to us.
Couldn’t of said it better myself. I spent all morning trying to get into pugs. It’s disgraceful and outright disgusting how gated the pug community is. Lfr is the only way a majority of players get to experience the raids fully. And taking away the mount last minute after 3 months of expecting it in lfr is scummy. @blizzard needs to take a step back and put it in lfr already. They are going to regret flipping off a majority of the players because I don’t see this getting any better the longer they stay silent.
Ok I have to ask. There are so many mounts, what is so special about this one? Would people care about smelly cat as much if this hadn’t happened or is this just like the dog who doesn’t really want that bone but doesn’t want anyone else to have it either?
You definitely haven’t been playing very long if you don’t know. It was one of the community poll mounts that a lot of people loved. Gating it behind pugs is a garbage scummy move considering a majority of people who voted for it don’t raid. It’s not about wether you think it’s a cool mount. It’s about the fact they let us believe for 3 months it was doable in lfr just to last minute flip us off.

Blizzard works by creating scarcity and removing the mount from LFR accomplished that.
the ruckus on the forum creates the buzz so that people who didn’t even know about the mount are suddenly feeling an urge to get it.
and the LFR crowd is the perfect market to buy tokens for carries, lots of carries to get slimecat.

Undo your bait and switch nonsense decision blizz. So many people were willing to sub up for the mount being available on LFR. You are seriously losing out on a large chunk of subs doing this. All these threads arent going to just stop. Reverse course while you still can.
Well then you definitely weren’t paying attention to the entire point of the uproar. It’s not about the mount at this point it’s about the fact that blizzard knowingly put the achievements into live wow saying on any difficulty leading us all to believe we could enjoy doing it on lfr to ease into the finale of shadowlands and have some fun before the expansion ends. And yet last minute they flip us all off and essentially said screw all you casual players. No fun for you. No mount for you.
So if they put a handful of mud into live WOW saying on any difficulty, leading us all, so forth and so forth then changed their mind, would that make everyone angry as well?

Yes they baited people to sub back up for this season with the wording on the LIVE achievements saying ANY difficulty. It was that way on LIVE for months. Then a few days before the season they pulled the rug out from under everyone in the form of a couple sentence long blue post. They still havent said a word since then about it. Absolutely have no respect for these people anymore. They lie constantly. If you value your time, dont give them your money anymore.
Yea it’s the principle that we are upset about. It’s not about the mount it’s about the fact that they led us to believe for months lfr would be able to get the mount for their time and effort… then last second they said screw you all no mount for you. The mount at this point is just a symbol on the flag of abuse everyone is waving. It’s just another example of how cruel and scummy blizzard is being to its community.
Ok so if you feel that Blizzard is acting cruel to the players then will you all be leaving?
If the developers did something I found disappointing then OK, no one’s perfect but if they did something I felt was cruel I’d be done with them. I can’t imagine anyone playing a game if they thought the developers were cruel.
So will you be heading off to some other pass time?
More often than not yes until the new expansion comes out or they bring back the slime cat to lfr or the xp boost for my alts I will be playing other stuff. Shadowlands has done nothing but disappoint me in every aspect. I’ve been playing things like for honor and ark with my friends and single player games like fallout. All are better uses of my time. I love wow which is why I keep playing. It’s been one of my favorite games of all time since I started in wrath. I won’t ever abandon Azeroth and my memories on it. I will fight to ensure wow stays a wonderful place for all.
For the love of god, it’s a mount. Y’all need lives.
You will never make WOW or anything else a wonderful place for all. Remember the John Lydgate quote that Abraham Lincoln once used, “You can’t please all of the people all of the time.”
No matter what you do it will irritate someone, especially in the forums where there is a core of players who love to be OUT-Raged over something.
